Monday MOMday

Obviously our preferred khamera is AWOL again -
It was just 630pm - clear and 34!  Yep, there will be frost again -
After following another KhrossTrek up the lane for him to collect his CSA, our first MadRadishLand view - their MaineCoonieTypeKhat was there but ran off towards the other barn area - BTW, the other KhrossTrek said they liked theirs so much, his wife got one too!
Getting our bag, empty egg carton, and Benning's biscuits, Willow was watching - The Other KhrossTrek driver coming for his CSA -
Whilst taking this picture, look who came trucking over...
Benning checking in for his biscuits - I told him don't worry - you know I didn't FURget you!
I told The Other KhrossTrek owner Benning knows I always bring him biscuits -
I believe from chatting with Benning's dad a few months ago, this one is Ginger -
There had been a mouse treat there but I told THE KHAT I wouldn't be adding it to our CSA -

Benning demonstrating he can count -

Willow might have ordered him some HOWLiday biscuits from Kerri's - but don't tell him -

The Mad Radish Poor Neglected Farm Dog😏
As we were getting settled and ready to leave, he came over to say bye fur now -
I got out so I could take a picture - maybe next time the two farm dogs will meet out on the farm -
Our drive out -
Some of Winter CSA is probably out there!
Our next trip to Mad Radish will be for our Winter foodables -
It was another nice Fall leave peeping day -
Home with our good stuff!
Willow and I are really enjoying our hard khooked eggs - glad I've thought to do some from the 'older
 dozen -
Lunch lettuce mix - Shiitakes - more greens mix - my VERY FIRST EVER persimmons - and kharrots -

Benning's Mom - Brittany - sent out some advice about the persimmons - with some pictures of how they should look before eating them -

They may feel soft to the touch and still not yet be ripe! You want to wait for them to puff up like a balloon and be very soft, almost pillowy soft, before you eat them. They tend to turn darker as they ripen, but they're still good to eat even if the skin is dark! If you want to hasten ripening, set them on your countertop and check them periodically for ripeness. They will still ripen in the fridge but it will slow ripening. If you don't want to use them right away and they are ripening too quickly, put them in the refrigerator to store. American persimmons do not store as long as Asian varieties. If you receive very hard, bright orange persimmons in your box, they are likely an Asian type and will last 2-3 weeks in the refrigerator. Again, to hasten ripening, set them on your countertop.

If you eat them prior to being ripe, they are very astringent, be forewarned!

So ours are on a plate on the counter - ready for my maiden taste!

After we got done with the pictures, I actually made a pot of coffee for a cup - and when I looked at the phone, Uncle Paul had invited us over to meet Khousin Royce -

SO, we will share THAT here tomorrow!

Happy Monday EvFURRYone!

Benning is such a handsome boy and he's lucky to have friends like you and your mom, Willow. Let us know how she likes the persimmon. My mom has never had one either.

Charlee: "Wait, what? Mouse treats? What???"
Lulu: "We have a couple of persimmon trees here but they're a different kind, those are hachiya persimmons and ours are fuyu persimmons. We only have a few left from this season's harvest. You do want the hachiya persimmon to turn to mush, but you can eat the fuyu persimmons when they're hard."
Java Bean: "Ayyy, and if you're the coyote, you can apparently eat them when they're green."
Lulu: "Well you know, when you're a coyote, you do what you have to."
