Tuesday Telling

From the latest entry on The Falcon Wire
3/22/2021  ::   Three eggs so far
As of Sunday morning, there are now three eggs in the 15th floor ledge nest box located on the Rachel Carson State Office Building. The question remains, how many eggs will 48/AE lay in 2021? In the past, the maximum has been five eggs with four being the average. Falcon Cam watchers will need to continue to watch to see if more eggs will arrive this week.
Peregrine falcons lay their eggs in two- to three-day cycles, indicating another egg could appear as early as Tuesday morning. The male and female share the duties of incubation for approximately 31 days. Therefore, the first egg laid should hatch around April 16.
