From the latest Falcon Wire post

4/23/2020  ::   An Earth Day Arrival
Appropriately, the third egg hatched on the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. Now there are three eyasses in the 15th floor nest box. That leaves the fourth egg. Falcon followers are certainly hoping for a successful hatch of this egg! During this week of Earth Day, it is also important to remember the impact of Pennsylvania's own, Rachel Carson. There is a direct connection between her landmark work, "Silent Spring" and the recovery of raptor species in the Commonwealth. You can learn more about her by visiting the "Rachel Carson Connection" link on this webpage.

Another interesting aspect to observe is what species of birds the adults are bringing back to the nest site. In the last few days, the northern flicker appears to be a favorite. Today, an American robin was on the breakfast menu. This is an opportunity to answer the posted question on the Falcon Cam: "What are the peregrines eating?"

Happy FrEYEday EvFURRYone!

We wish we would get some rain here. It has been very, very dry since the confinement started.

We are crossing paws for that 4th egg.

Woofs,
Ollie
