From Thursday morning -
and throughout the day - a day that would turn out be khwite memorable and life changing -
Tuesday morning we think
Tuesday afternoon -
Wednesday night -
Thursday night - and all the khrossings were an omen -
The flowers in the various beds at the hospital -
Yes, we pawed the hospital - here is the greeting I gave my Doggy Nanny when she returned from Rehab in early April - well, she's got a much bigger battle now -
My paws are khrossed - I so want to see her again - but...hey Mom, your turn -
Thanks Khyra - well, let's just say Thursday will be a day like no other I've ever experienced in my life - although I'm sure some of you have had your own touch with life and mortality -
Khyra's Doggy Nanny - my mom - sent me a text like normal - when she got up - her way of letting me know she was up and okay and all those normal things - we exchanged a few we let each other get on with our mornings - an hour or so later, Harley's dad - my brother Paul - called to see when I had contact with Mom - I retold our messages - all right around 730 or so - all seemingly normal - well, Fred had gotten an empty text from her - and she called him but was making no sense - Paul had called 9-1-1 and was on the way to the house - a stroke was suspected - and later confirmed- and she's currently in ICU with some major swelling in her brain - and basically comatose - I left The GKP after 11 - and got to the hospital shortly after noon - spent the afternoon there - with her - and other family members - as I write this, Diane is on her way from Phoenix - and my brother Steve - the one living in China - is also on his way back - Di should arrive by the time 'this' posts - with Steve's arrival later Friday / early Saturday -
We appreciate all the good thoughts shared on FB, in messages, and on posts -
So yes, Thursday's events were far from what we would ever dream would happen - but as Holly's mom's passing showed us, we just never know -
At this point, the staff has said events like this can take three to five days for things to show themselves - as to what kind of recovery is possible/etc - at her age - and with her wishes - surgery is not an option - nor is it something we would put her through -
SO, we'll update when we can -
Please LIVE IN THE MOMENT - for we just don't know -
Sorry for the babbling and all but we did want to let Khyra's friends know -
Thanks again -

We are so very much with you in spirit, Khyra and Phyll, and are just sorry to be so far away that we cannot offer more concrete help and support.

Gussie's Mom (Barb)
Gus and Teka say:
Find out NOW if the hospital will let Khyra and Harley and mayber even Harley in to visit. Our Aunt Marie recognizes us even when she doesn't know the Muzzer. She says our kisses are the best ever! Makes me wonder about our Uncle Ray :)

Oh, lots of purring and praying going on here!
We wish we were closer so we could give you our hugs, too!
You have all been in our thoughts and prayers since we read the news yesterday.
Phyllis,
We just read about your Mom and are so very sorry.Your Mom and your family are in our prayers.
Take Care
We've been sending lots of purrs and prayers since we heard about The Doggy Nanny yesterday Khyra. Sending lots of love and hugs to your mom and khysses for you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Love and purrs,
Angel, Isabella and Sharla
As our Hu-dad said yesterday on FB, we have all of our paws crossed here for the greatest of comfort and for the best of outcomes. Please let us know if we can do anything.
P.S. - We second Gus' suggestion. Remember that Cheoah went to visit our Hu-dad granddad every Sunday during his long and debilitating disease. Even the days when he did not recognize our Hu-dad, he received great pleasure in petting and talking with Cheoah. We canines are special that way, you know. (Probably not allowed in ICU - pffffft - those human rules).
Lots and lots of love to you Phyllis and your family. We all love the Doggy Nanny.
We're thinking of you and your family and holding all of you tightly in our thoughts and prayers, Miss Phyllis♥
Love ya lots♥
