WELL, did I have a nice Monday nap! No flashy beast getting me like it did LAST week!

Mom has been keeping her eyes open fur Egg #2 but as of 6:08pm Monday, there is still only one in the nest area. She should be laying them every two or three days SO Monday would have been khonsistent with her past khlutches. I would almost expekht we'll see another one by the time the Tuesday sun khomes up in Pawsylvania.

Stella and Pedro both khommented they thought Mom would be spending more time there. It is furry inkhredible how they know. Mom was talking to the egg a bit Monday afternoon. She knows to turn it...how long to leave it in the sun...or when to get it out of the sun.

3/27/2008 :: Three EggsThere are now three eggs in the nest. The adults will begin brooding for increasingly longer periods of time as the clutch grows. When the clutch is complete, most likely at four to five eggs, brooding will be continuous. The male and female share brooding duties; the male will sit 30 to 40 percent of the entire time it takes to hatch the full clutch.

3/24/2008 :: First Egg is Laid!Just after 7 AM on Saturday, March 22nd, the first egg of the 2008 season was delivered before hundreds of onlookers via live stream Web video. Typically, the female lays an egg at one to two day intervals. To learn more about what can be expected in the days ahead, viewers can refer to falcon postings dating back to late 2001.

It is furry interesting how they both take khare of their 'kids' - in fakht, the female is akhtually a bit larger than the males. This will khome in handy when more food is needed as the eyasses grow...Mom khan fly farther and bring more bakhk from 'the store'

Sunday EGGcitement!

This is why we are SOOOO eggcited!

Saturday morning around 11:15 or so, Mom plopped out her furst egg of 2009!

We had been watching...she seemed FURRY intent on doing something...we went away from the feed to chekhk on some blogs...and khame bakhk to see what appeared to be egg between her feety feet!
Isn't it beaWOOtiful?
YES! It is eggciting!

And she showed Dad what they had done! (my mom akhtually khaught 'em doing it a bit on Saturday am too)

Again, woo khan khlikhk H E R E to get to the state site with the live khamera feed and watch! She'll probably add to her khlutch over the next week or so...probably an egg every khouple of days!

After my big day amongst the rokhks AND my normal walk, I did have some khwiet time Friday evening...

Wait until I tell you about my big day on Friday!

It started as normal - me sitting by my tree - and in the sun too!
I napped so I would be ready...Mom said we would be going hiking later!
Still napping!!!

Well, about 11am, Mom leashed me up and we headed to the Xterra. We went to work - I got to see Sampson for a bit. Mom found out she'll be working next week! (Good, I am really getting tired of her taking my pikhtures ALL THE TIME)

She went to lunch with Kathy and Kim again...I guarded the Xterra....THEN THE FUN STARTED!!!
We went HERE

and visited OUR Mt. Pisgah with an elevation of a whopping 885-ft!!! Mom took LOTS of videos and LOTS of pikhs of me AND the scenery...Today's post will show ME, a few stray scenes, and THREE videos...tomorrow will be more scenery and videos...with the rest of the videos being inkhluded in my posts fur the khoming days!
