Saturday Sharing

PF enjoying our cooler weather day -
Sadly, back to 'standard' Summer -
Heading to 730pm - 66 - Cloudy - such a nice break -
This was Willow's exciting Thursday night - after first prep meds -
The cell alarm went off at 6am - out for potty - and THANKFULLY I GOT A PEE - woohoo! - next dosing - with just some peanut butter - no breakfast - surprisingly, she must have figured THAT out for she didn't push for it -
So Woozy Willow went out for her 'venture -

Halfway between The Khottage  and Dawn's is The Vet - we pulled into Spot #8 - lucky number of The Mom - then called to let them know - they said her room was ready so we could go in -
We must have had The Polar Bear Suite -
Of course, The Heeler had to work - listening to the humans out there - and some dog woofs too -
Woozy juice given - and taking hold -

Settled just under me -
From here, The Vet - and her sidekick Vet Tech Tara - slid her over and started her 'special spa' session - Tara had made a spot on guesstimation of how much sleepy juice to give her  - as last time she needed an additional dosing before work could begin -
The Vet - Dr Onstott - had given her the dose in her left cheek so she got the wakeup meds in her right -
and it gave The Vet and another time to do some plucking - they had fun!

She stayed in Drunken Sailor mode for some time - in fact, at one point, I checked to make sure she was still 'here' -
She weebled to The KhrossTrek - and got this far in - I didn't fight her as we would be home in under three minutes -
We did have this Black Bear and Polar Bear park next to us for their appointment -
Yep - Polar Bear it was!
Back to The Khottage - naptime ready to engage -

This pretty much summed up her day - she did manage to get up when her friend Steve stopped by to see her - then planted herself in The Kitchen - and since Auntie Di and I had discussed our plans for the day would hinge on Willow, we decided we'll do lunch and visit so I phoned Dawn's and ordered my lunch - then went and got it and returned to Willow - I'll share that here tomorrow -

Today's sharing will be about her vet visit - it went basically well - 60# - good ears & eyes - a bit if tartar but nothing nasty teeth wise - NAILS done - glands done - Rabies and Distemper - blood draw - EKG etc - and as mentioned, good I got a pee as she has a UTI - her urine check was far from normal - so she's got pills that should knock that out - and I'll grab another pee - but The Vet did hear a murmur whilst doing her very thorough exam - I really liked her and approach - so whilst she was out, they wondered if  I would like them to do some xrays to evaluate the potential cardiac sounds - of course, I did for it made sense to me - and I got to see much more of Willow from the inside out - we could see all of her parts - and see some arthritis related areas - her spine - and some areas that might bring some issues - but all just age related for now - not really anything requiring meds - and her heart - it was perfect - we'll wait a few days for her other test results to come back from the lab -

Even though the day took it out of her - she spent so much time sleeping it off, I'm sure she'll be back to her happy Heeler self today - there is no way any exam could have been this thorough without the Sedated Exam Option - and it's nice to know what to watch out for - and we can drag our stiff selves together -

Thanks for all the good thoughts - they worked!

Happy Saturday EvFURRYone!
