Laska's nice foster mom Sam sent Mom some pikhs on Friday night.

She said he is doing SOOOOO much better! He loves hanging out with hers...he doesn't hide in his khrate anymore...bounces around like the rest of us!

Once he is through his heartworm treatment, a furiend of Sam's that lives two minutes away (and khurrently visits him evfurryday) will bekhome HIS FUREVER MOM!!!

Mom always tells people she will nevfur furget Laska! He made khwite the impression on her!

But she's pretty sure she'll have some other spots where khanine fiber will be woven in this weekend. Here are three pikhs of Sunday's passengers. Kaya was the furst one set fur the transport. To say she's had a rough life would be an understatement but all that has changed and will khontinue to change...Kaya

Kaya is a lovebug who enjoys giving kisses if you'll bend down to receive them as she knows she's not supposed to jump up on people...though sometimes it's really tempting! She'll pull hard on the leash if she thinks you aren't paying any attention to her but as soon as you let her know that you are actually aware of her and are actually occupying the other end of the leash, then she's delighted to be on the leash as a shared adventure. She's darling girl who is delighted more than she can say to be going to home where they'll actually love her!

She'll bark if she's REALLY excited but isn't otherwise much of a talker. If you must raise your voice to her, please be aware that she's been conditioned in her past to expect a blow with a Strong Voice. I've found that she pays attention to a normal, happy voice and is well aware of pitch modulation.

Thank you everyone for getting her to her Forever Home, she's a terrific dog!

P.S. Um, please put a towel down under her water bowl at her overnight...she sometimes pats one paw into the water, then drinks, then pats the other paw in the water, then drinks again. I'm not sure where this behavior comes from, spoke with a biologist about it who speculated that perhaps she's learned it to clear a spot in water covered in "floaters" (algae, duckweed, etc.) and now it's a habit? That would fit with her background!

She's a Kuvaz. Mom is furry excited to meet her. She's nevfur met a Kuvaz befur!

Another girl was added to the transport late in the week. As I pawed together this post, Mom didn't have a pikh of Lizzie - a shep mix. Mom will share her on Monday with her story of the transport. Mom will be getting up early fur a Sunday. Akhtually, she'll be getting up her 'normal' weekday time. She is heading to Martinsburg WV to start Sunday's transport. The transport initiated in Kholumbus GA on Saturday with the sleeperover in Martinsburg. Mom will chauffeur The Girls to Harrisburg PA! I'll be spending the night with my Sibestas so Mom doesn't need to worry about me!
