Monday With Multiple M's

In Memory Of Orange
Here are some word about her we copied from the Brittany Rescue FB page

Orange is now respectfully laid to rest on 100 acres of bermuda hay fields. Having been in the medical field for over 30 years rest assured she did not suffer. God bless Rodney my hay man he offered to help. Orange now is at rest in NW Arkansas under a grove of beautiful towering oak trees near a ridge top with breath-taking views you can see for miles. God bless you Orange and may you rest in peace

Asked how it happened, here is the response from FB: She On the Freeway, it was instant, I am sure she was in the middle of a running stride and next stride was over Rainbow Bridge and into the endless fields playing and frolicking amongst all Gods creatures. Sadly Orange escaped from her temp foster when she was being loaded this morning for transport. As soon as I heard I came up to help search for her

SO MOM AND AUNTIE DI DID THE LEG TO ALLENTOWN FUR ORANGE

MORE ABOUT THAT TO FOLLOW

******MerdieA blur fur sure!**Mom had dropped me off with my Sibelings prior to going to get the passengersAuntie Di got to meet Thoryan - he impressed her too!

Now I will let Mom have the post - there are LOTS of pikhs both here and in the Photobukhket since Auntie Di took some pikhs enroute along I83/I81/I78!Jack and Diane

Oh wait, that's a John Cougar song ;-)

Jack is a five month old Brittany pup - he's headed to RI for NE Brittany Rescue - his weekend started in TNIzzy - she's an older Doxie-Blend - she started out in NC - she's headed to NH for Libby's Haven for Senior Canines - what a great passenger she was! My sister could so see what a great companion she would make for an older person too - she was an excellent lapdog that enjoyed being stroked!Marcy - she's a three year old Brittany mix - her Saturday started in NC - she's also headed to RI for the New England Brittany RescueMarcyMeet Alex - the one that stole Diane's heart - he's a six year old Brittany who hit the road Saturday from SC - he met his furever furamily Sunday afternoon in New York - good thing he was already spoken for - otherwise I think Diane would have had to buy another seat on that flight back to The Blast Furnace - he was part of the National Brittany Rescue and Adoption Network

It was funny - when I first told her of the transport's passengers, we expected she'd fall for the puppy - but in the end it was Alex that stole her lap!AlexAlexAlexI'm sure you see why he did!Jack recharging his puppy batteries!Alex resting up to meet his people!Alex and IzzyIzzy decided to rest like Alex was!Marcy was quite the interesting combo - part of me thinks she had some Berner or something like that in her - she didn't have the size but she surely had the colouringAlex and his lap!He had beautiful eyesChecking out the scenery along I78Alex Diane and JackDiane did THAT a lot!Jack pondering lifeIzzy pondering as well!Upon arrival at the Wawa off Route 100Marcy Jack IzzyMarcyJackIzzy Alex MarcyAlexThe old and the young both looking towards their new lives!Jack and Izzy getting ready to head to the next stop! The Charm did it again!

Grab a beverage before you start enjoying the Photobucket Slideshow - as I mentioned above, we did this one for Orange - it was quite sad Saturday night to see the posts about her - we knew right away we'd do this for her - we were already doing the run with a shoutout to Stumpy and Company for their awesome contest and contest winner Wyatt- it was only natural since S&C are currently AZ residents - like Diane - of course, Stumpy and Stumpy's human will be headed back East 'soon' - we try to get Diane to come back to 'Pawsylvania' too but I think the heat has fried her brain and somehow convinced it is 'normal' to live like that!

Here is the SLIDESHOW LINK; and here is THE LINK TO THE ALBUM which includes six videos!

Thanks again for the support as well as thoughts for Orange - it is sad when we lose one before it is time

Hugz&Khysses from all of us 'khurrently on Khyra's Khorner'Alex says all's well that ends well!

Merdie always looks so happy! She's such a sweetie!

Khyra, you are so beautiful and we hope had a great time with your Sibelings!

So many adorable passengers for the transport! We can see why Auntie Di fell for Alex cause we did too! We fell for them all actually - such sweet dogs!

It's so sad about Orange but it's nice she's been respectfully laid to rest in a big ol' field where she's probably frolicking every day over the Bridge!

What a very special post! Khyra, you really have a wonderful mom who helps so many people and dogs and all animals! We will be back later to watch again the videos. It is very sad about Orange and we know he she is having a great time at the Rainbow Bridge now. Brittany Spaniels are great doggies and a dog named Alex is really special to mom. She's posting a tribute this week to her Alex. Thank you for all that you do!!! Lots of love, Holly and mom

Mom's a sucker for the 'senior' doggies, and was quite taken with your Mom's old passenger! It is sad to hear about Orange, but definitely a fitting place for her to run free.

What gorgeous passengers you had today (including Sister Diane!) I thought Alex was especially handsome, well, they all were!

Its always good to see Merdie at Camp Khyra. I bet Khyra had a great time with her Sibestas! Keep up the good work, Phyll, we are all proud of what you do.

Oh my. That Alex is one more handsome puppy! If you can, please let us know how he's doing at his new home!

All beautiful pups in the transport!

I like seniors too. We rescued my dog before Layla when he was about 13 years old. My next rescue will also probably be a senior.

It's sad about Orange, but that sounds like a beautiful place to be buried. If she really didn't suffer, she probably was enjoying life to the fullest (running full speed) at the second she crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.

I hope your Auntie Di comes back to visit you soon. Next month there's a big All Star tournament that most of the dogs we train with are going to - right in York, PA! Too bad we won't be going, it would've been nice to see Khyra Khountry!

Hi Khyra,

Ahhh, a Merdie fix!! We're happy pups now!! :)

Hey, FH fell hard for Alex - all the doggies are adorable but FH just flipped over Alex's freckles, too cute! (You've got a great photo where it looks like Alex is balancing a shed on his head, he he he!!)

We're glad that Orange has such a beautiful place to rest furever now, it's hard for the humans when we have to go to the bridge but sometimes we need to be running free with the wind.

Schnauzer snuggles - JD and Max.

Merdies' sure getting after that Sibe stuffie. Is she working off some frustrations?

Mom worries so much about me getting hit by a car. Even though there's like 30 doors to go through before I can get outside. Knowing that Orange didn't suffer is good.
And she had the burial of a queen!

PS: When you get the time, could you drop by my bloggy and help a pooch in need??
PSS: Could Alex be getting a new home with Auntie di? BOL!

So very sad about Orange - heartbreaking.

I laughed - I'd forgotten about the shop called "Wawa" in Pa. I used to live near one. What an odd name.

In one photo, it looked like Merdie was playing with a Khyra toy. The toy's head looked just like Khyra.

Thanks for taking care of all those dogs and showering them in love for a day!
