Walkin' Wednesday 2009 PLUS SOME

Merdie and I will show you our furry exciting TuesdayMerdie was just hanging out in from of the sofa in the Furamily Room
Then moved to the porch with the khool khangaroo Ginger Jasper had sent me!

Mom was working on waking up and chekhking our Googlie Readerie thingie when
POOF!
There was a pop and all went dark save fur the laptop and the khrakhkberry
We noticed the utility pole at the NW edge of the yard was flaming!
Mom khalled MetEd whilst The Doggy Nanny khalled 9-1-1

They had to monitor it
Flames!
More monitoring
The street in front of the house
I was helping. I akhtually greeted each of them pawsonally with Siberian khysses (and told them to please help us get power bakhk ASAP so my mom didn't start twitching)
More flames!
I made the pussywillow bush my khommand post
Kept them in my sights
Met Ed arrived (there were three trukhks by the time it was all said and done)
Then the fun began as they had to evaluate the situation. I wonder if they played Rokhk, Paper, Scissors to see which of them got to khlimb up there!
Way up there
Having determined they had the situation under khontrol, I went to nap
So did Merdie
Mom kept her eyes on 'em
When I heard her shrieks of WAHOO we have The Internet bakhk, I khame down and went to khall this job khomplete!

Mom shot a short video of some of the fun - THAT IS HERE!!! - please keep in mind when she khaptured some of the goings on in the yard, we had NOOOOO idea how long it would take to restore the power!

All we khould think is THE BLOGS THE BLOGS THE POST THE POST THE BLOGS THE BLOGS!

However will our furiends be able to make it without their WALKIN' WEDNESDAY fix?!? Well, fear not, HERE IT IS!!!

Hugz&Khysses,

Khyra and Merdie

PeeEssWoo: Mom and I had just started to visit the Tuesday blogs when we lost power so we are truly behind...as we've said before, we'll visit but we might not get the opportunity to leave khomments...and we SOOO hope woo understand!

We'll see woo here tomorrow fur our THANSKGIVING post!

Oh my what a lot of excitement. I am glad you are all safe and kept your distance. You and Merdie look so cute and snuggly napping. I don't even want to think of how my Mommy would react to no puter. It scares me. I am glad it got fixed so fast. We can't miss our Walking Wednesday with Khyra.

Happy Thanksgiving

hey Khyra,

I am not a fan of flames so I was worried about you and your mom when I saw the flaming pics, but glad to know all is well! I can see why you needed a nap - manning that command post must have been nerve wracking. A job well done, though!

You and Merdie sure looked nice on your walk! You both have lovely tails. And the shadow Khyra was cool.

I wonder if it was one of those stupid squirrels that got zapped and caused your loss of power?

Good job keeping an eye on them!! I see your good tax dollars at use with your fire dept there!

Oh my - flames and everything! How scary! Good thing your mom had you to monitor the situation! Glad the power guys were able to get the electricity back on!

Wow - quite the excitement. Firemen in your yard and then lots of power trucks. Glad you were there to greet and help them.

One quirk of living in the mountains is that we do lose power fairly often. You just live with it. But since we use Verizon Wireless for internet, we keep on plugging.

All you Facebook doggies - sigh, we just don't have time to do that but the temptation is so high.

The OP Pack said...

Wow, that made for a lot of excitement at your place, Khyra. It had to have been caused by those pesky squirrels trying to derail you from keeping up with all your blogs. We are so glad it was resolved fairly quickly so you and Mom could get back on track.

Great walking video, you both look so good. That fluffy tail keeps getting fluffier with the thickening up for the cold weather and Miss Merdie is just beautiful in her golden-ness.

Hope you keep your power today, we always the power of your paw.

Woos, the OP Pack

I think it was a squirrel. Hope he got singed in the process. Properly cooked they are quite good to eat. It would serve the rascal right.
Glad that they got it fixed. We would have all had our tails in a twitch without your Walkin' Wed. post.
Happy Turkey Day.
