Monday MOMday

We were deeply saddened late Sunday morning to learn Miss Snickers had khrossed.
Mom was thankful fur the special guardian angel she had fur her transport from Hagerstown to Harrisburg.
Befure I turn the post ovfur to Mom, I want to share a song that I think khovers the fight Miss Snickers put up...I also think the words in the song have a lot to say to all of us

Our hearts go out to her furamily in Ioway...and our hearts go out to all of us...once again, we all feel the loss...we all have an idea of the pain our hoomans will feel when it is our time to leave too fur we are feeling it now.

******

Thanks Khyra - once again, thanks for letting me take The Xterra on Sunday! The first two pups, were part of the original transport - they were the ones coming from Paragould AK BUT they ended up FLYING UP HERE!!!
Hope
Roxie (Husky/Lab)
Here is the first pic I got to see of Bandit - this is how he used to live BEFORE some kind soul took an interest in him and got his 'hooman' to surrender him.
Please take a look at his story on The Last Resort Rescue available pets page
Bandit!
What a special fella!
He wanted the entire back to crash in
I will admit I was disappointed for I wanted him to ride shotgun so I could pet him for the 75 mile journey BUT
I mean, just look at that face!
He changed positions as we approached Carlisle
Some as we waited for his next chauffeur
I mean HANDSOME doesn't begin to describe him!
His right eye was brown with the left one being blue and brown.

Here is the link to his PHOTOBUCKET SLIDESHOW and here is the link to his PHOTOBUCKET ALBUM which includes five videos. Due to the time of day, some of the pics are a bit dark. I got to Harrisburg about 4:35 so the sun was beginning to descend for the day. I was happy the transport was ahead of schedule AND that I made great time getting to Harrisburg from Hagerstown. This gave me a chance to get some videos I actually hadn't expected to be able to get!

When I called Sam to say he was on his way to Hamburg, I asked if he had a furever home lined up. She said people were very interested him and were going to meet him when the transport arrived in NJ! They seemed to have their hearts set on him. I told her they won't regret it one bit! He needs to learn to trust a bit...he did not willingly get into vehicles. I had to scoop him up in Harrisburg to get him to his next ride!

Whilst waiting, I sat down on a parking berm and got LOTS of kisses from him. He's about as sweet as they come!

Thanks again for your support!

Khyra and Merdie will be back tomorrow!

The news of the passing of Snickers made all of us very sad. She did put up a grand fight and tried very hard. At least now we can take comfort in knowing that she will never be sick again.

Bandit really is a handsome boy. We hope he can discover the joy of a real home after what he has had. We loved his waggily tail and the way he watched your Mom so closely when she was talking to him. Another round of applause to her for her good works.
