Monday MOMday

Furst some me
Will that hold woo fur now?

Angel J Stains snoopervisor fur Sunday's transport - Thanks fur getting Mom bakhk to me safely!

Now to turn ovFUR the post to Mom

Ready to go on Sunday - by the way, there is the tree dedicated to Cathy - Khyra has another pic she'll share on Tuesday

It was a bit overcast to start - it had showered during the night

Horses Riding On Air - love the name of the transporter PEGASUS!

These were some of the passengers for The Last Resort - Mom will always remember one of her most special passengers for The Last Resort - in fact, today marks TWO YEARS since he was in The Xterra - and regained HIS PRIDE when he saw himself in the Magic Building - I know many of you recall THAT LASKA FELLA!!!

Edith warned me the camera would be working overtime to capture all their cuteness - and she was spot on!

That is Ford - which was fitting since it was Ford Nationals at Carlisle

and I got to see LOTS of those other horses - MUSTANGS - and yes, I'll admit my first car was another kind of horse - 1979 - Jade Green with Wire Wheel Covers - manual transmission - the first of my manuals - and only $4000 brand new!

Lucille's travel bag - like the one her sister Marge had earlier this year - and I'm sure you'll remember her other sister Pebs

Say hi to Homer - I'll write it here now - trust me!!! The pictures and videos can NOT capture how handsome he was - his brindleness was just INCREDIBLE - and YES, I hear you Mango - like DUH Khyra's DOH - of course brindle is handsome!!!

*

He started out riding shotgun - but decided to move back with his sister

She was a doll - and yes, a bit scared and anxious but so sweet - she improved with every leg as she realised it was all good!

A PEACEout Froggeh for Norwood!

Khyra donated two of her toys to Lucille and Homer

Pawsylvania Time!

*

Homer rested much of the way - but Lucille was watching everything - I think I noticed her head down just two or three times

I wanted to kidnap this truck - an entire load of tasty yummy onions!

That McD's was the one I met Katie at for my first transport in 2008 - and no, I haven't kept a count of the number of passengers - I should have but I guess I just didn't think it would become such a part of our lives

*

Homer was playing superhero before getting out in Harrisburg

And Lucille was still looking - in fact, she spotted the windows from The Xterra

*

*

So, what do you think of Homer's fursuit???

This was in The Xterra before the two got out - he hopped out without much help but Lucille needed me to help her out the sidedoor -

This is in Peggy's vehicle before hitting the road for Allentown

This is Morgan from A Pathway to Hope's transport - her story is so heartbreaking and yet full of hope now that she's safe and ready for her own good life - her travel companions were Marty and Stevie - two other cuties - you'll see them in the Photobucket - I had offered to drive them to Allentown since the leg from Harrisburg to Allentown was the last one needed to complete the transport but Amy did get another offer - I was happy to get to meet them - especially having read Morgan's story in the email for the transport -

Back on the road

Harrisburg

Another shot

83 South towards York

Mission Accomplished - for a group effort of Bullywag, Rotts 'n Pups, and PMAR -

As mentioned at the start of the post, it was dedicated to Angel J. Stains - with a special mention to the rescue folks and pups - and even two KHATS - I've met in the three years - we always say RESCUES ROCK - and they do - and as Cheryl said in Hagerstown just after I turned off the camera, SO DO RESCUERS!

Here is the Photobucket Album Link with quite a few videos - since I had met up with the other two runs - and here is the Photobucket Slideshow Link - it includes pics from the emails for the other runs with all of those cuties!

Lucille and Homer headed to Vermont Sunday evening - Lucille has a home lined up and her foster mom is hoping maybe her furever family might fall in love with Homer as well!

Thanks again for the support and kind words - and if EVER you have the chance to drive for a rescue or foster for one, please do - it is more rewarding than I can ever describe adequately here!

BTW, everytime I said the name Lucille, I couldn't help but think of B.B. King and his Lucille - he said he can always depend upon her - I think the Khanine Lucille will be that too!

Hugz&Khysses From Khyra's Khorner

P.S. Whilst I was gone, it appears Khyra khrossed those paws and used her tail to wipe out the 700+ items in our Google Reader - she whispered something about hoping evFURRYone understands she was attempting to save some of her mom's sanity!

hey Khyra,

Angel Joe Stains is pawsome! I am glad he got your mom home safely!

Pretty pics of you by your tree! And how super sweet of you, Khyra, to donate two of your toys to Homer and Lucille! You rock!! :->

Homer and Lucile are gorgeous! They look so incredibly sweet and caring. I am glad Homer took such good care of his sisfur. Paws crossed they are adopted together into a loving forever home.

Morgan is a cutie! Her story was very sad, but she is a trooper and paws crossed she finds her loving forever home soon! We, as always, pray that all the pups (and kitties!) find their forever homes, and humans like Khyra's mom make it possible for many! Thanks for all you do!!

Suka (and K)

p.s. 700+??!!!! Wow! Good job Khyra for saving your mom! :->

It just occurred to me in reading your post and looking at the pictures that this is such a good way to end or start a week--Being part of a network that is changing the lives of these special and very lucky pups, I know, is so rewarding...

Such adorable pups and dogs ~ RESCUE ROCKS! And so do all you rescuers for sure ~ we are so proud to know you.
BTW, shouldn't the truck be onion-napped?

We loved all the pups in this transport, but that black and white St.Bernard/Corgi mix with the black spot on top caught the MOmster's eye for sure.

We could so see the change in Lucille through the videos - a little more time and she will show her full sweet personality.

Another great transport, we are sure Joe Stains was very proud of your Mom.

Saving your Mom's sanity is very important. Arty got bored and came played with me, Mom got some of the action on camera. It'll be a couple of weeks before she downloads the pictures though. ~Fenris

We has our paws crossed that Lucille and Homer are adopted together. They are both sweethearts.

Always fun seein' the familiar I81 pictures from your Mom's camera, Khyra. She must be a good driver to get such clear shots while zoomin' forward. Sumtimes Mom has trouble even while standin' still.

I think you shoulda dropped off Homer along with his beautiful coat at the McD's in Greencastle and called me on your Khrackerberry to come get him. Dad would get over it.....someday.

Woofs and clear slobbers,
Chester ;0=)

Hi Khyra! We love the pictures of you! And oh the transports were all so cute! We hope they have wonderful forever homes soon!

And mom agrees that helping with a transport is great - we only helped with one (to get Ash to his forever home - well, two if you count us driving all the way to Effingham to get Trixie to our house!) but it was so great (but of course it made mom cry too).

And we understand about the mark all as read - we have to do that quite often too - mom hates it but knows all the bloggers understand!

OMD - Homer and Lucille are too precious for words! As is Morgan! How lucky you are to have spent some time with them! Mom & Dad were able to do a short transport once and know how rewarding it is. They think you're super lucky to be able to do this a lot! And the pups are super lucky to have you!
