Monday MOMday

Another of my Saturday pikhs - I was looking off in the direkhtion of the fox
Merdie eyeing up the goodies - I think we'll share that fun on Tuesday
Harley in his HD khollar
Harley and Merdie
Now to turn it ovFUR to Mom -
Thanks Khyra
I'm sure Blueberry will be smiling even more when she sees the passengers that came North this past weekend

Before I write about them, I wanted to share this very lucky girl
This is Daisy Mae
In a sense, I was looking for her - and asking The Luke for assistance as well. You see, Daisy Mae got loose at a transfer on Saturday, January 8 at the Bob Evans in Carlisle - just off I81 and Route 11 - I've actually met a driver or two there - and I pass it every time I head to Hagerstown and back to Harrisburg - a driver pal shared the email about her escape late Saturday night so I made sure to scan the that area as I passed heading South and then again heading North - there were any number of places she could have been as it is quite an industrial and commercial area - with the added challenge of The PA Turnpike on one side -

Imagine the happiness we all felt when we got an email on Thursday saying she had been spotted - at milemarker 229 by someone from the highway crew - flyers about her had been passed out - the crew called the number - volunteers went to keep an eye on her until someone could snag her - by that time, she was too tired to even try to run - she had managed to survive the snow and cold - she checked out fine at the vet - SO, it was nice to see this one end well - it helps make up for the other end of the transport escapee spectrum

Now to Sunday's passengers PriscillaSnowball

Those two got on the transport in Charlotte on Saturday - and got off in Maryland - actually, I got to see them in their crates but I didn't get any pictures of them - they were chilly so we didn't dillydally at the handoff in Hagerstown - I collected Amber, Lulu, and Morgan from Edith and let her complete the rest of her leg that got the cats to their rescue - there are more shots of them in the Photobucket courtesy of the person who let them stay in her bedroom overnight!

Sunday AM and ready for departure
The usual light - with Khyra's SPCA in the background
Yes, that is where I'll be headed on Tuesday - and yes, that is the side I work in
The side of the building that faces I83
*
I could't pass up this interesting sky
Lulu with a paws up!
Lulu from the runsheet
We all loved her socks!
Again, another runsheet pic

Morgan - a rough coated collie - not quite as energetic and crazy as Blueberry's sister Morgan The GSD
Snagged the pic just in time!
Morgan rode shotgun with me - it involved a great deal of intense ear rubbing and petting - she was very well behaved!
Amber after we arrived in Harrisburg - her eight dears had come North the week before Christmas - and now it is her turn - plus, she needs to have cataract surgery AND be spayed - she was another great passenger
Amber and Morgan checking out the pups in the building
Harrisburg as I headed back to York
Mission Accomplished!

What a nice group of passengers - and the chance to meet some other drivers - we had three transports overlap in Harrisburg! Amber, Lulu, and Morgan headed to Allentown with nice people I had met last year when I drove Drama The Handsome Aussie - whilst waiting for them to arrive, I met two other drivers I've seen within the past month!

In addition to this transport being in Blueberry's honour - thanks to Stumpy and her human's winning bid , we also gave a purr of a shoutout to Calle, Halle, and Sukki - since there were probably some residual khat khooties - Khyra's words - left on the three I drove! We'll be doing a transport for C-H-and S soon since they were the lucky winners on The White Dog Army special Blog Event of a few weeks ago

Lulu and Morgan both met their new families in Allentown - and from what was shared amongst the communication on the transport list, they were in love - and they very well should be!

Amber went on to New York to meet her rescue - Pibbles and More!

The Photobucket Slideshow includes lots of pictures shared by the Saturday drivers - and the KHATS - the album includes videos I took in Harrisburg and two Mary sent from her Saturday leg - it also includes a few pics of Morgan and her new family

Once again we get to say RESCUES ROCK!!!

I looove the kitties and the doggy collars in these pics are also really nice.

I'm with you when you wrote you'd make most illegal things legal. Too much nanny state stuff if you ask me.

What a busy weekend! So glad to hear that Daisy Mae was recovered - one of my greatest fears is losing a pup while driving long distances...
I've never heard of anyone transporting kitties - of course it happens, but I guess I run in more canine circles;)
As always - great job!

As always, we love our Monday fix of pups (and kitties) on their way to great new lives. But, today, we need to let Harley know something special. Super Nephew has a jacket to match Harley's collar. Something about a certain hu-uncle (which we consider a hu-dad) deciding to help dress the Super Nephew. He is totally cute in it.
