Tuesday Telling

Saturday ROTE
Let's go Mom
Time to fetch some kibble - and since I was so khute, I got another HUGE biskhuit - which YES, I did stash in the khorner fur a time - then I khonsumed it
Skhoping out the sights along Route 30 Eastbound
******
Up on the hill is part of my news
That big white building as Mom headed to Harrisburg fur Sunday's trip to Hagerstown
The big white building as Mom headed South and bakhk to York after the transport

This is where Mom will go to earn kibble and biskhuit paper$ - she started on Monday fur an OFFICE CLERK - her skhhedule will eventually be Wednesday thru Saturday - right now, she's training - all she khan say is the place is HUGE - I mean, even more RH than Mango HUGE - the khrane fur the top of the building is 110' - the rakhking fur the towers of produkht storage extends a QUARTER mile - they said the building is 5.5 million SQUARE feet! - if woo chekhk out this page from their website there are two videos from the facility - pretty freaky!!!

She's akhtually lokhated in the portion of the building you khan see in the Northbound pikhs - her furst day she parked at the front of what you khan see in the Southbound pikh since she that is where she was told to report - it took her almost five or six minutes to get bakhk to The Xterra when she was done her shift!

SO, our blogging and blogs visits are going to be furry khurTAILed until I khan get Mom trained - she won't have Internet akhcess during her work shifts - during breaks and lunch she khan utilise the khrakhkberry to chekhk stuffs but the sekhtion of the building she's in has furry spotty khoverage - she heard one of the trainers tell someone today 'his cell doesn't work in this office'

I've spent some time with my sibe-lings to help Mom get her bearings and such with getting bakhk to work - of khourse, she'll be on the standard 90 day probation - but I've got my paws khrossed she'll do well and they'll keep her around - the furry khool thing is this place is about five miles from the house - so the khommute is a piece of KHAKE - she khan use sekhondary roads to reach it OR hop on I83 at my B&B and go one exit to the North to reach it

SO, that's my story and I'm stikhking to it!

Thanks fur the kind words about the transport and The Luke's presence on it - his shirt and the charm The White Dog Army sent us last year made fur a perfekht khomplement to each other!

Hugz&Khysses,

Khyra

P.S. Khyra's Mom here - thanks for the patience and support as we get in the routine of THIS - September of 2009 until January 2011 was a LONG time to not be employed - given my history - the time off so gave me the opportunity for many great things - for example, our Trek to The Tundra - but I was all too aware of the realities of life requiring the becoming employed again - I'm thankful my schedule should be Wednesday thru Saturday - first shift hours - which will enable me to still cover Sunday transports - the four day work week is good too but the extended hours will require some blog comments - we will try and visit and such on a regular basis but please forgive us if we do need to invoke the dreaded mark as read button

Congrats Khyra's Mom and good luck with the new routine. Hope it all works out okay for you.

Earning biscuit money is more important than leaving comments. My mom works 40+ hours every week and just does her best to help me visit.

Khyra, just make sure we get to see your beautiful face.

Hey, that's fantastic! I'm so happy for you. That was one of my wishes for the new year, and I'm glad it came true! I was only out of work for 8 months, which is a long time but not compared to your hiatus. I miss being home with Layla all the time, but it's such a relief to get a set paycheck again (even if it still isn't enough to cover bills). It's cool that it's only 5 miles away, too! I used to be about that far away when I started at my pharmacy (when Layla and I were living with Grandma) and it was nice being able to come see Layla on lunch break if I wanted. I'm really happy for you! Don't worry about the blogging, biscuit and kibble papers are more important.

Congrats to your mom! That is quite an accomplishment these days! We know she will do great if she can fight off the internets withdrawl! It is hard to find internets in buildings that big and with the long shifts... well, I wonder if they make a patch for that? No chance for Wifi during krakhberry breaks I guess? Anyways, Yay for kibble moneys!

Huge congrats to your Mom Khyra and we wish her the very best in her new job. It's not easy been out of work when you don't want to be. Murray's Dad was at home for four months last year and it wasn't easy at all.

We hope the new routine works out well for your Mom.

Khyra, tell your mom congrats on the job! It's been a tough year or more for many folks out there!

I've been trying to blow snow your way, but I don't think it's working.

Congrats on find a "green paper job"! That's wonderful, and we all understand if your blogging is kurtailed.

What a huge biscuit Khyra got at the dog store! Poor K isn't allowed any treats aside from her kibble (due to chronic pancreatitis) so I always have to say "no" when shopkeepers offer her one! I usually hand them some kibble pieces to give her instead!

Concats on your new job Mom! We understand if you don't have time to comment at our place. We love it when you can come by, but Mom understands that work is sometimes a lot like work...

YAY, we are soooooo happy your mom found a job.....we can really relate.

Our mama is early retired because of health issues, and lives on a small social security stipend, thus we have to live with someone else, which has been our sisterbean.

The sisterbean was unemployed for about a year and a half. (she had a few short-term temp jobs during that time). She finally found a minimum pay job in November....we are purraying it will last.

Most of all, we purray your mom will whizz through the probationary period and become an employee in excellent standing.

Hey Khyra,
Youse's actually a very elegant and classy looking female. Us guys want dad to print out one of these potrait photos to post on the wall in the kennel. Ooooolala.
IRT the blog infringement time due to work - Boy do we hear y'all loud and clear. Your mom's 5 minute commute is a luxury not enjoyed by many. Fur instance; our dad's 2+1/2 each way commute (5 hrs a day) has really cut down on both our blogging and commenting time - bummer; but necessary to continue to allow us 15 canine/feline dependents to continue to live in the life of luxury that we have grown accustomed to (Oh yeah, mom too). Dad says that in this economy you can't be as choosy as you once could. OBTW: Congratulations mom for jumping back into the work force. Someone with your drive is bound to succeed.

Oh my...that is one hoooooge building. I do have a suggestion for your Mom, Khyra...

Rollerblades...yeppers...nuthin' like starting your day and ending it with a little blade action...front and back crossovers...backwards skating...and she could get a pair of figure skates for the parking lot alone for the winter...

Now, you need to get her to bed a bit earlier dear...she needs more than five hours of sleep a night...Mumsie sleeps like 9 and is still crabby...

It's just so hard getting these mothers organized every morning....
