Thinking, Thoughtful, and Thankful Thursday!

Mom was all besides herself when she saw me do THIS
Paws khrossed
And my khute little head resting on them - Mom says BIGIFY fur full AHHHHHHHHHH affekht!
I was thinking how thoughtful it was fur the nice Amy lady to send this
Fur our donation from Ben's Ampuversary Blog Khomment Challenge!

Akhtually, Amy is the reason Mom furst started to drive transports - there was a transport cirkhulated on SiberNet ListServ fur some Husky/Shepherd pups - that was June 7 and 8, 2008

From there, Mom's reskhue affiliations branched out to inkhlude Sam and The Last Resort Reskhue - and by a strange twist of reading the lokhal paper on line one morning, NBRAN and The Brittanies!

Akhtually, her furst Brittany transport taught her the khwikhkest route from here to Hagerstown is not always the shortest route! She was already doing a Hagerstown to Harrisburg run when she saw a need for a Harrisburg to Hagerstown driver for Rusty The Brittany - the timing fur the legs pawmitted Mom to meet Rusty in Harrisburg then chauffeur him to Hagerstown - and hang out at McD's fur a bit until her next passengers arrived !

Now fur another reason to be T T T fur ThursdaySampson/Jovi was the furst transport I got to ride along with Mom - akhtually I mentioned that earlier this week

He was one Mom had been looking furward to meeting BUT Mother Nature had intervened which khaused that transport to be postponed until another time - which Mom khouldn't do bekhause she was khommitted to Amy's group that next weekend

BUT Fate (and the nice Sherry lady) stepped in and got Sampson up here on that Thursday!

Woo might wonder why is Khyra and her mom are babbling about Sampson AGAIN! WELL, take a look at this link that Sam sent us Tuesday evening

The Story of Sampson: The I-40 dog who touched the hearts of many

It made Mom sooooo leaky to read the story - and she even KNEW the story! Please take a moment to read about the special people that made all of it happen fur him - it truly shows that RESKHUES ROKHK and that it takes the khooperation of LOTS of kharing hooman hearts!

Mom is smiling thinking of the little fella sitting in her front seat as we headed East on I78 that Thursday evening - how easily he navigated from the front seat to the bakhk to made sure Puddin' and I were doing okay - even though it meant khlimbing ovFUR the center khonsole

Thanks to all that make it happen!

Thanks to all of woo that help Ben help us to help others!

Hugz&Khysses,

Khyra and Her Mom

It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside to think that you helped in giving Sampson a great life where he can impact so many other people!

PS - Thank you again for reminding us about the show tonight on PBS. I was choked up the whole time, waiting for a commercial break so that I could get my emotions in check - then I realized it was PBS and there ARE no commercials! It was a great show, very informative, and I love how they talked about the positive training methods that they use on the service dogs!

Sampson's story got mom bawling too. God Bless everyone who helped save that sweet boy. Mom got chills when Lisa found him on the road, as she knows how hard it is to even see a black dog on a rainy night. (We lost our black rotti-x girl Rosie to a truck that hit her on a rainy night.)
And MFT, woo've got cross-paw cuteness down to a fine art!

Ahh, Khyra, you look so peacefully and ladylike - dare I say "dainty?" sleeping with your paws crossed under your chin. I got to play with an 8-month old Sib boy at the dog run today. If I'd been on the leash, I'd have barked at him, but in the run I only growled a little at him when he went for my tennis ball!
