Monday MOMSday

MONDAY?
Already?!?
I asked Mom to share some of my Saturday events...
Sat AM Patio Nap
Khloser Look...
Saturday's Biskhuit Spot...once Mom took the pikhture, I retrieved it and took it to the furamily room and ate it!
******
I'm going to turn this over to the MOMS now:
Khousin Abby and her mom (aka Auntie Di)
Diane took a drive from The Blast Furnast (aka Phoenix) to Prescott. They took a trip into the town and met Senator! Diane said he was a very nice boy but surely a very BIG BOY! That is his dad with him. Diane was trying to convey how BIG he truly is by where his body comes to on her!
******
As you know, I did a transport on Saturday and another one on Sunday!
Both went well!

Here is the link for Saturday's Photobucket for Delilah and Blazer

Here is Sunday's link for The Puppies, Jellybean, and Yvette The Russian Blue Mix KHAT!

We were a bit apprehensive about how the pups would do...early reports from the night before the start of the transfer and Day 1 had me wondering how they would do. Two of the females were having issues with the others to the point of jumping each other unprevoked BUT once they got into the routine of the transport things calmed considerably. I actually hadn't expected to get many videos and/or pictures of them but ended up with quite a bit!

They were thought to be Lab/Shepherd Mixes and having seen them, I would agree...as you'll see, there are SOME EARS on a few of them! A few had the GSD hair along their spine...and some cool tails!

There were four girls: Madison, Frannie/Mona, Shelby, and Sydney (Madison and Shelby were the two 'mentioned' as being difficult); the boys were Raleigh and Jackson.

Their names were written on their collars and I couldn't quite make them out as I was shooting the videos so at one point I call Sydney 'Smokey' - sorry Sydney!

Jellybean was the sweetie that Irina said she was! She was my front seat passenger so you'll see a good number of pics of her.

Yvette The Russian Blue Mix KHYTTEN was cute - and had a bit to say. We were requested not to handle her along the way. The vet had discovered ringworm on her Friday during a pretransport checkup. She handled the trip well!

So, it was a very full and rewarding transport weekend! No dead deer spotted on my run to Martinsburg WV or Hagerstown MD. The creature most observed dead in and along the road were some of the black tire creatures that are found on trucks!

When I sent the Photobucket link to the transport list, Mary wrote back with this:

Thanks to all of you, another group of beautiful pups and JB and a little kitty have new homes and lives.

All those pups came from the awful Stokes County gassing shelter down here in NC that uses the dump truck with the gas chamber on the back.

Bless you, Irina and Amy, for saying yes when I asked if you would save these little ones

When Irina got the pictures and videos here was her reply to me

You are the BEST! Thanks for all the pics and videos and for taking such great care of Jelly. We miss her so much but Amy called me to say that her new family is wondeful and that she was all excited to jump in their car and be on her way to a new life

The Pups have all met their new furever families!

Khyra will back Tuesday!

How nice of Abby to make an appearance - hi Abby. Senator would be a good playmate for Honey.

Congrats on a double whammy transport weekend, AND including a cat - WOW!

Happy Monday, if that is possible.

Sheesh! All my DOH did this weekend was clean the house. I am glad you are saving all those poor doggies.

Is it still hot Miss Khyra? I accidentally ran around the yard with pee-wee for just a little bit last night and got so hot it took me two hours to start breathing normally. Momma says I can't play with him at all today even if I want to because I scared her (yeah, I cried too, I am not ashamed to admit it).

It always makes us extra happy when we know that more pups have found their furever families. Today was no exception.

BTW, Senator reminded Moma so much of Catherine. Her sissie's last Dane. They are such gentle giants.

Have a good week, Khyra!

What a wonderful weekend you and your Mom had. We are so happy that your Mom transport woofies to their new homes and we are even happier that she transported a kitty this time. We hope that kitty gets well from its ringworm.

Meowm saw a big woofie like Senator this weekend too, but she didn't get pictures. She was too busy taking in donated cat and dog food and stacking it in a truck. she did take a few minutes to pet that big woofies and some basset ones too!
