Monday MOMday

Woo know what Monday means! I let Mom do almost all the pawing - so take the laptop Mom! Thanks Khyra - since I need to get gas prior to hitting the interstate, I took a slightly different route - so we see your B&B from another angle - The day was quite nice albeit windy - the white building ahead on the horizon is where I'll be Wednesday around 7:20 am - although I don't use the interstate to get there - I sent this to some friends and shared it on FB - Meet Sally
She was an absolute sweetie - with some very unique colouring
She was a great co-pilot - she barely settled - as she was so interested in seeing where her new life was taking her and her babies!
I kept telling her how good it would be
The resident Xterra Sibe woo'ed her the same thing!
She was checking out Hagerstown Airport for Fi and Abby's mom
There it was - PAWSYLVANIA!
So she relaxed - for a bit
Just a bit
Check out those dew claws - two weeks in a row I had a passenger with rear ones!
I did tell the contact for the run about them - Kaye was going to bring some clippers to the meeting spot
I spotted this agility equipment heading to Master Chew Sits
I figured it was Mango size!
The FROGGAH was the giveaway
Sally liked to keep an eye on her pups periodically along the way - she was an excellent mom - and you'll see more about that at the end of the post - I've pasted in the note Amy included when the transport was first circulated -
We were DEFINITELY feeling the love - good thing Sally was helping with the navigation for the Xterra was tightly packed with the three crates - I had measured when Amy included their dimensions since some legs were requiring two drivers - on paper they fit - let's just say, it took some creative placement -one was across the vehicle behind the seats with Tank's crate in the driver's rear section and the other crate-o-pups on the passenger side rear - Sally's seat was moved up a bit to allow the OH YES WE DID IT moment!
I usually pass at least one truck from this company each Sunday - I snagged this shot due to a certain blog pal leaving a comment on Sunday's post about 'The Knight' and his feeling on puppies - we still owe them a transport dedication - just haven't had the right one come along yet - but it will!
Sally had a very expressive face -
and so did her puppies!
Lila was quite flattered by all the requests for her to come live in multiple states around the country - even Khyra's Auntie Di said we could add her to the Lila Fan Club -
Tank mugging for the camera - he did very well with Sally - and with the puppies - he had been crated just in case Sally got too protective of her sweeties - but it really wasn't an issue - in fact, whilst in Harrisburg, Sally and Tank seemed to want to play and be around each other
A last snoof from Sally
And the pups
Sally looking into what awaited her!
As she helped Lisa and Brian get her one leg closer!
A tip of the tail to all
I heard your squees!
The Harrisburg shot
That building again - that is the side I drive along to head back to my parking area
Full circle on the highway in a sense - this pic was shot from where its counterpart shot above had included
Saw this blast from the past as we were just about home
Mission accomplished!
I had mentioned included Sally's story, well here it is - I do hope the text size is not as large as it is showing here as I put the post together - the preview shows it to be normal size but I won't know until midnight!

Sally & her puppies were rescued from a rural area of MS, born on a porch, wandering around with no fence to keep them safe. Sally was an amazing mother, and she kept her babies close and safe, never running off, despite no barriers to keep her, besides the dedication to her babies. Our wonderful fosters came through to rescue this family and bring them to their farm in TN. They are ready to come north and find their forever homes.
As I mentioned yesterday, the foster home for Sally and The Pups were Maya's mom and dad - they are part of her legacy - and one of Sally's pups will keep Sally's pawesome job going as Kodiak - Boy #1 was adopted by them and will continue to live in TN!

So grab a beverage and check out the Photobucket - lots and lots of pics in the slideshow link - AND nine videos in the album link - including a few other transports I encountered - I actually caught the tail end - no pun intended - of Sam's transport for The Last Resort - as well as the run for Rotts 'n Pups too - and one other!

Yet another week to say what more and more know to be true

RESCUES ROCK!!!

Here is the link to A Pathway to Hope's website - this run was done for their great group!

P.S. Cousin Ab was very flattered by all the kind words about her pics - she felt so famous!

Such a pretty Sally and so deserving of a good home.

Dew claws? those look like bear claws, and not the pastries.

We are so glad that Mom has the dewclaws removed from the puppies when they are 3 days old. She says if we ever have to have surgery, she is going to have ours removed.

Another great transport accomplished. Bet those front seat passengers feel extra comfy with that stuffy along. Once in love with Lila, always in love with Lila. But they sure all are very sweet.

Rear Dew claws are kind of rare aren't they? I have only seen them a few times.

I so look forward to hearing about the Sunday runs!
That Sally is a beautiful lady - I fell head over heels for that face alone, then to hear her story! How could someone just leave her & her pups outside?!
And yes, there were many "squees!" from me :)
