7/2/2024  ::   Juvies Enjoying Their Independence

The young peregrines are furthering their independence by spending less time as a group, less time near the nest ledge, and more time individually and at farther distances. Although they can still be seen at times on or near the RCSOB, the number of sightings on the ledge have declined dramatically. Earlier than in previous years, the adults appear to be starting to reassert their claim to the ledge. But there is no cause for concern; the adults will continue to provide food and instruction at locations away from the ledge for several more weeks; they will just discourage the fledglings from considering the ledge as home.

Om the way to the next stop on Saturday, we had passed this Honda - and I hoped it would end up at the light - and it did -

Each time we go and come from Mad Radish we see this time we are at the stop sign for George Street and Nursery Road - they've done such a great job with this - and oh the tales it could tell from its years -

AND our final stop was to treat The KhrossTrek to a shower -

Willow had come back to check on me - I had just gotten our Mad Radish bag out -

Carrots BLUEberries - Golden Beets Yellow Squash Green Squash Cucumbers Chioggia Beets - I am quite interested in trying these - given the candy striped inner nature - which they say is best observed when they are used raw - which we will in a salad - with some goat cheese -\

So we could return to 30 East - and head towards Stop #3 - I can't wait until Dover gets done with its water project thru town so we can cut over to Mad Radish our old way -

The flag and the flower were the special shapes in July's box - I bought The Dog a WOOFLE to celebrate National Woofle Day -

And we redeemed our 1/2 dozen treats from our Buyer's Card -

I compensated Wigglebutt for her 'venture duties -

And after she put in a hard WFH shift, it was WOOFLE time -
