Saturday KHATurday Sharing

5/25/2012  ::   Update From the Ledge

Yesterday, just after 6AM, the red-banded eyas was swept off the ledge by a gust of wind as he flapped his wings. He was rescued from a nearby alley and returned to the ledge. At this age the eyases aren't quite ready to fly but they have the ability to make clumsy, relatively light landings. Volunteers are watching the young birds all day long from this point until they fledge and successfully return to the ledge. The adult male is doing a great job providing for the eyases on his own as there is still no sign of the adult female.

It looks like one of them is rekhreating how it happened in the pikh from FrEYEday - Mom hadn't seen the update about Red-Banded Boy's Big Adventure!

Mom - woo khrakhk me up - was work REALLY that khrazy???

The Doggy Nanny's Mother's Day Flowers

I was furry interested in the birds at the pond - mostly goooooozers from Khanada BUT there was a White Heron down there as well - or so Mom tells me!
Since this khan be Khaturday, I wanted to paw some more wishes fur Parker's Furamily in oHIo - many of woo know she left us on Thursday - those she left behind are still grasping the khoncept of life with Parker Pie - she's the one that does the pawesome Diabetes Sucks graphikh each year fur her special mom -  Parker left an inkhredible legacy woo khan read HERE IN HER OBITUARY - I'll miss her - and woo KNOW I'm furry pikhky about my flavours of KHATS - just sayin'
I snagged this shot of her handsome Woofie BroFur Diamond from his Dogster Page - snuggling with a KHAT???  OH DIAMOND!!!

Happy Saturday KHATuday EvFURRYone!

Hugz&Khysses,
Miss Fluffy Tail

The eyases are very mobile on the ledge now and are sometimes completely out of camera view. They're spending time on a small ledge opposite the radius column behind the scrape

We're really sad that Parker had to leave for the Bridge. She was a sweet ladycat and we will really miss her a lot.

Hi Khyra
Those birdies are getting very brave, but its a good thing humans are watching out for them to catch them if they fall!
I did not know you had a pond Khyra.
How fun it would be to watch gooses and duck.
I am very sad to about Parker.

Hey Khyra! So glad the little guy was okay and that somebody is looking out for him. And I learned a new word - eyases! Hope all is well with you -- you certainly are looking cute and fluffy! So sorry to hear about Parker.

We're sad about Parker too.

We're glad the little birdie didn't get hurt when it fell off the ledge. That must have been one doozy of a fall!

We hope your mom gets home from the GKP soon so you can enjoy the rest of Sadieday with her and khousin MERDIE!!!!

We were wondering what would happen if they fell! It's good to know people are looking after them.
