5/17/2012 :: Falcon Sightings
The adult resident female has sustained an injury or disease that has rendered her unable to effectively hunt, feed herself and the eyases. The male has redoubled his hunting activities and is providing for the eyases. DEP staff has been trying to locate the female in hopes of live capturing her for treatment at a nearby wildlife rehabilitation center. Any information on her whereabouts would be appreciated. The female is one third larger than the male and is not banded. The male is banded. Falcon watchers can report information via the falcon page email account or call DEP's Environmental Education Center at 717 772-1828

Here is a link to an updated story on the Siberians from Wisconsin:
Adopt a Husky went back up there yesterday and pulled 7 more dogs. The
shelter has moved many others to other shelters (again, the Wisconsin
shelter network is phenomenal!) and for the remaining dogs they have, they
have good applications on them. So it looks like all the dogs are spoken
for and should all be vetted by this weekend.
Now, if anyone in the IL/WI area wants to add a Siberian to their group,
please apply with us! www.adoptahusky.com These are really nice dogs and
deserve the best home. The boy in the tub in this report was one we pulled.
He is SUCH a doll!

We hope the Momma falcon is found so they can fix her up! It's almost Sadieday! You have really nice nicknames. Mommy calls me her Baby Girl but Daddy calls me Stinky. I don't know why. Both call me Sayd a lot too but that's just lazy since they don't add the "ee" on the end of my name.

Oh no, that be so furry sad about the mommy. I be telling about this on my bloggie soon but mom found a female cardinal wot had been hit by a car and could not fly. She woz so worried the cardinal had babies somewhere and could not get to them but the park ranger pointed out to mom that bird still had baby fevvers herself so she woz not old enough to be the lady of the nest. Duh, mom!

That is awful about the mother falcon -- very worried. Khyra, your second pic is ADORABLE! Love the face! And, I wish I could smell the lovely peony. Ours our gone now, but when they bloom I go out to smell them very frequently.
