♥♥♥ IN NEMO’S HONOR ♥♥♥
A BIG TRIBUTE TO A TINY SHELTIE BOY

This transport is dedicated to the memory and honor of Nemo, a beautifully handsome, tiny 3-year old Sheltie boy.  The tribute from his rescue mom, Charlene is beautiful; I can’t say it any better, and if I were to try, all I would do is cry.
“Today,  Nemo and I took a walk; we took a walk to the Rainbow Bridge.  He had no peace or joy in this world so we went to find it at the bridge.  Nemo looks like the perfect sheltie.  He weighs less than 10 lbs and looks like he should be in the show ring but his pain is real and constant. He came into animal control in a small northwest Ga shelter just before Christmas 2011.  He was frantic at the shelter, all he did was spin.  My dear friends Donna and James were able to let his serve his reclaim period at their home instead of at the shelter.  After that he came to live with me.  I named him Nemo because it was apparent that he was not normal.  Like Nemo he had a “short fin”.  Over time his spinning got better but then the seizures started.  In the almost two years we have had together there has been no peace or joy for Nemo.  He is terrified of the world.  Even my voice makes him cringe in fear.  My touch makes him jump.  Most of his days are spent in an almost trance like state.  His 3 years of life here have been just too hard.  I prayed every day for a miracle for Nemo but that was not to be.  So today I gave him my final gift, I loved him enough to let him go.  There is no joy or peace for me but as a fellow sheltie person told me; the right decision may hurt but it is still the right decision.   Our journey together was short my sweet sheltie boy but you were much loved.  I will see you again at peace and full of joy. Until we meet again wag your tail, bark, play and above all eat.  I miss you so…  “   … Charlene Cantrell, FRIEND, AND OTRA Co-Moderator for GA & TN

Thank you, Angel Nemo, for watching over our transport for these little puppies  who all had a rough start in life, but are now on a long journey to loving, new beginnings.  Thank you for guiding our transport team and these puppies and for helping to keep them safe.  RIP at the Bridge sweet boy, run free of the pain of mind and body with those we have lost and are already at the Bridge.

Mom says she's pretty sure he's in the special sekhtion of The Bridge - where those with demons are now free - and now with some of the humans who battled the same troubles here -

The Nice Mary Lady's updates on Saturday inkhluded a khomment about this group being some of the khutest puppies EVER!!!
Auntie Di - and Khousin Ab and Jim - went to Prescott this weekend - and so did Angel Sierra - she left AZ in January of 2006 when she got her wings - as I rekhall from what Mom tells me, she was only nine - which is way too young fur a Golden Girl to go - Auntie Di never really did know what took her fur sure but it was probably some kind of autoimmune disorder - but Auntie Di loved her HEART dog so much she had to let her go so she wouldn't suffer any longer - and now some of her essence is watching - see the GREEN tree in the center???
That shall be HER lookout spot

As I pawed, nine is way too early fur a GOLDEN GIRL to go - just like the beaWOOtiful Angel Sophie - please visit REUFUS'S BLOG to see the GReat post fur her - I bet she's hanging with my Golden Khousins Sierra and Lexie

Hi, Khyra -

All of the puppies are so adorable. What a great tribute to Nemo. Mama's aunt had a labrador retriever named Captain Nemo.

Happy Gotcha Day to your Auntie Di.

P.S. Thank you for your comment on our blog.

Another cuteness overload for the Xterra today. Safe travels and hope you beat the rains. Khyra, not only will your shadow be disappearing, but you might need to find a boat for your walkies. Hope Sandy isn't too bad for you.

Happy Gotcha Day to Aunty Di too.

MFT,

Those pups are adorable! Happy Gotcha Day to your Auntie Di.

Our Mom says she now knows the satisfaction your Mom feels when she does transport. She helped a kitty (Jamie) get to his new forever home today. It's such a good feeling knowing you helped save a furry life.

First, I can't think of a better protector of those puppies than sweet brave courageous Nemo. And even if he could not always feel or hear it, his furrever Mom loved him so much she helped him OTRB. paw pats, Savannah

The story of Angel Nemo brought tears to my eyes. I know that crew of puppies will be well watched over.

I hope that you stay safe in the storm. My dad seems remarkably calm about it... so I hope that his attitude is the right one! Take care.

Such sweet pups...it must break your mom's heart to separate from them. That hurricane Sandy makes me nervous - we keep following the news on CNN and we want all our pawls and their families to be safe.
