Monday MOMday

How about starting your week with a Merdie Moment before I turn the post ovFUR to Mom?
Thanks Khyra!

Off I go

I got a shot of Route 30 again - take this exit and you'll end heading across the country - of course, it will not be a quick trip!

I got to Hagerstown early and encountered The Last Resort's passengers - I had saved their pictures from the transport email so I could share Barnette didn't make the trip this time - pesky kennel cough But I got to meet TiggerAnd THIS handsome fella SAYBER - I was SO happy to have the opportunity He was pretty happy about his company - He wanted to give a kiss to all that helped him get from West Virginia to a safe haven and a furever home!Whilst waiting for my passengers, I encountered this beauty - Hannah - she's a rescued Dobie! I had trouble getting a pic as she was always on the move - I had the chance to talk with her dad - he said she's a real dog dog - meaning if you aren't a dog, she's not really interested in you! Then I encountered one of the Rotts 'n Pups passengers - meet Max!He knew the trick of THE LOOK!Didn't he?He has an interesting story to tell - his humans lived in Georgia - but are from India - their contract was up here so they had to return home - and didn't want to subject him to the trip and such - so they tried to find a good home for him - and he's got it! In reading the comments on FB for the weekend, Max touched many hearts on the way North!THEN, Renee pulled up with a load of KHUTENESS as we say - including this handsome Basset named Reilly - Who enjoyed playing with Max as all waited for their next driversHe's now home in Chaddsford PA!Now the stars of the daySephora with Leo in the backgroundCloser! When she wasn't watching out the window, she was napping Howie My ShotgunTo say she was beautiful would SO be an understatement - she was a tough one to pass along - she did a great job supervising the other passengers - you can make out the two other crates on the right side of the pick - Sassy and Gigi are in the back one with Oliver in the front oneWatching traffic along Route 11 as we took an alternate route via Mechanicsburg to the normal meeting spot - traffic along I81 had come to a complete stop just short of the exit to Mechanicburg - I snagged the chance to get off just in case - I've seen too many news stories about traffic tie ups and didn't want to delay the transport - my detour did add about twenty five minutes to the leg but at least we stayed moving! It meant we got to see Harrisburg twice - here is the first one He was such a doll - and I was mistaken when I thought it was Oliver with the vision problems - it is Howie - Speaking of dollsHere is Oliver - he was such a good boy in his crate - I could see him out of the corner of my eye watching me as I headed to Harrisburg!Oh yes - Sephora! AND YES SADIE, I wish we could have sent her along to Oregon - I think she would have made an awesome Gotcha Day present for your parents! Last year's transport on August 8 was a special one
I wonder if she would like Angel and Isabella?

HAPPY GOTCHA DAY TO YOUR MOM AND DAD!!!*Sephora knew where the Husky Khool Air came from! She chose this special spot in The Explorer for her ride to The Wawa in Allentown! I even saw Lisa comment on FB that Sephora stayed there the entire time! She knew she had the humans under control!

Harrisburg Redux

Back to York I go

This week's YELLOW FOR MURRAY!!!

Mission Accomplished!

What a day filled with such canine happiness! So many happy tails that know the true meaning of how RESCUES ROCK!

Many times you ask how I can let them go on to their next drivers - well, Sunday was one of the challenging days - Sephora was tough to let go - she'll be among the special ones that touched my heart in a special way - I saw Khyra in her - but I also saw Kyrye - especially with her blue eyes - and slightly smaller size - she'll make someone a furry special FURiend!

Here is the Photobucket Album Link with LOTS of videos and pictures - the videos are how I really captured the other pups I encountered - including the ones on my leg - it was quite warm and humid - so we didn't want to extend the stays too much - especially just to take pictures - please do watch the videos for your see the true meaning of rescue and saving lives - here is the Photobucket Slideshow!

As you'll hear - and read in the description of the album - I did this leg for the special people I've met doing the Hagerstown to Harrisburg and Harrisburg to Hamburg or Allentown legs - especially since I encountered so many of them today - Edith, Lisa and her mom Alice, Edith, Tom, Courtney and Kevin, Renee, Sue and Dan, and Don - just to name a few - oh wait, can't forget Peggy and Mike - of course, I know I've overlooked some BUT you get the idea!

So yes RESCUES ROCK - oh wait, I think I said that already!

Hugz&Khysses From Khyra's Khorner

P.S. Khyra asked me to wish all a HAPPY WORLD KHAT DAY - and make woo khome bakhk fur Tasty Tuesday!

Always a sweet moment to see adopted cousin Merdie!

I really thought you would wind up bringing Sephora back home with you to be Khyra's sister. She IS a royal beauty (as is Khyra, of course).

Good work on the transport run. Until they all have homes!

Kisses,

Stella
