Monday MOMday

Hey, what's Ruby Roo doing here?
How did Kiva get here with snow AND Ruby?
I think I'll let Mom handle THIS one! Woo might want to get khomfy - lots of pikhs and stuffs and videos and all that Mom jazz
Thanks Khyra !
Yes, lots to see and tell today!

I was so happy to get to Hagerstown in time to see this handsome fella
Meet HUNTER - he was being transported for The Blind Dog Rescue Alliance
I had seen emails via SiberNet this week working on getting his legs filled
I saw his last leg of Hagerstown MD to Hanover PA would be around the time I would get to McD's - and I SO HOPED they would use that spot too
I got some videos of him and my passenger Hazel
He had been fostered in TN by a FB and SiberNet pal - we had exchanged some posts about him so it was extra cool to meet him in the fur - as we say!
One of his drivers was actually someone I've done legs with in the past so it was nice to see her again
I lucked out and got the shot just in time!
Now for my passenger HAZELWhat a doll she was!Watching the Hagerstown Airport actionNo, we aren't there yetBut she was one state closer to her furever home in New Jersey!Another run accompanied by our charm of luck and FURiendship! She was quite the active passenger - several times she attempted to take over the driving Me? She asks innocently?
(YES, HER!)*She liked this spot a great deal - although she didn't have much choice back there because a lot of puppy and cat foods were sent from GA on this runChecking out Harrisburg and the view over to the highway we had just exitedShe did have fun on the way using the bundles of food as climbing toysSee!?!It was her Xterra playground - but as soon as I unlocked the Xterra so I could open the doorShe was ready to explore!!!Water time! She was just so pretty! And so curious and energetic - reminded me of some other pup I knowAnd playful with her leash*
It was a challenge to get still shots of her - especially her gorgeous face because each time I'd frame her, she'd come to give me a kiss
Pffffft on that she says
I just kept thinking she looked awfully familiar
*
*
She never did the crossed paws - but then again she wasn't still for THAT long - but she liked to do the tuck!
And given more time, I knew there would be a huzzy moment
On the road to her next chauffeur - she was heading to the WaWa in Allentown where Wilson did his rock posing two weeks ago
Here is Sophie - she was on the transport from GA to Mary and Marie's part of NC - they are fostering her - she's a Rotti/GSD and I kept reading the word SWEETIE!
And cute
Yep - sweet AND cute

Now to explain why Ruby Roo and Kiva opened this post - this transport was done in their honour - actually, the entire ROO CREW!

If you have never met Ruby, please visit their blog - especially now - as today is the day her raisers are letting her go on to the next leg in her journey as a service dog -

Her Raiser Mom even wrote a guest post on this blog about the experience - and I know from our correspondence, today is going to be a bittersweet day for them - she's expressed how since she learned of Ruby's date to move on, the rollercoaster of emotions have taken over - coincidentally, the guest post was featured on October 28 - Diane's birthday!

They were even kind enough to send us a cool gift to remember The Roo Crew by and we'll share that tomorrow

This was also done for Auntie Di's 40th birthday since my transport for her weekend was postponed - I explained our intentions for this one and she was SOOO excited about that - I also explained we had a very generous anonymous benefactor again for this run - as well as another run or two in the the future

The run was done for Rotts 'n Pups - with Hazel having been fostered by the nice people that were Rocky's fosters!

I was a bit disappointed as the Photobucket uploaded - it dropped some pics - but I just didn't have time to go back and delete and start over - so I've decided to follow my mantra of things happened for reasons - it the pic got dropped, it wasn't meant to be there - the slideshow includes some pics of Sophie and Hazel's Saturday legs; some pics of Hazel at her overnight Bed and Biscuit; and a pic of Hazel with one of her drivers North of my leg - Donna and Lee mentioned something about Hazel being a princess - hmmm, I'm still wondering why Hazel reminds me of some pup I know

There are quite a few videos - especially since I got some of Hunter in Hagerstown - and I had some wonderful extra time with Hazel in Harrisburg as the transport ran early which I never mind - more time with special passengers is always welcomed! Mary sent some videos of Sophie from Saturday and Sunday as well

Here is the slideshow link - AND here is the link to the album with eight videos from my part of the transport as well as the ones Mary sent - I do hope you take time to watch to see how special these two were - Hunter's visual impairment was nothing that prevented him from being an awesome dog - and Hazel's curiosity of all that was going on around her just touched me so - she was a clever one and I know she's so going to keep her new mom on her toes!

Thanks again for all the kind words about Ozzbourne's passing - I know his family appreciated them

Of course, I must close with two important words -ready?

RESCUES ROCK!!!

Hugz&Khysses from Khyra's Khorner

P.S. I know you've heard this one before BUT since it took so long to get the Photobucket and the post together, the blog visiting time was curTAILed Sunday evening - we hit them but didn't paw on all of them

Hi, Khyra -

You and Hazel could almost be twins! Mama liked the idea that you honored your Auntie Di for this transport. Your Mom does wonderful work with the animals.

Love -

P.S. Imagine Mama's surprise when she saw some snow like slush on the ground this morning especially since we got to go for walks this weekend.

I just loved the photo of her sweet face in the driver's mirror. Much happiness to Hazel and all of the other doggies that you all help.

That is so wonderful Khyra, that your Mom gets all the transport organized and get the doggies to a better place. We loved looking at all the pictures. Wish our Mom wasn't so old so she could do some of that transporting. It must be very rewarding.
Take care and have a great week

What a busy weekend - fab photos - we loved them all. We were really interested in the blind dogs as poor Tink is blind, as you know at the moment. But unfortunately she has other problems as well.

We have loved following Ruby's adventures and we wish her all the very best as she moves on to her advanced training.

We are so appreciative of puppy walkers - we have Clive because someone was good enough to raise him for 12 months and do all his basic training with him ... we can never thank them enough.

take care

Phyll, we thank you so much for your kindness. We dropped Ruby off with her Advanced Trainer today, and amid the tears, we felt so proud of her and excited for her future. The day was easier for us thanks to the support and kind words of friends like you.

We are honored to be a part of this transport, with a beautiful sibe and somepup who looks exactly like a baby Kiva looked, when we took her home from the shelter 12 years ago!

Bless you for all that you do with transport and thank you again for thinking of us today. :)
