I'm going to turn this ovfur to Mom now so she khan paw about the evil C word - as our LIVESTRONG opening pikh indikhated, our post is in honour of all those touched by the evil C past, present, and future
This is my cousin Linda - bone cancer took her on September 15, 1997 - she was 36 years old - she left four children - the youngest of which will only know his mom through pics and memories shared by his sisters, brother, dad, and others in Linda's life -
Linda represents the past

And this is Shelly - 'mummi' to Khyra's Malamute BF Summiii The Super Mal - she's a TEN year survivor!!!!!!!!!!
This was her on the way to participate in last year's walk in Des Moines IA -
Shelly represents the present

AND the future with Maddox - one of her twin grandsons

Here's to Maddox and his brother Drake - and Linda's children NOT having to know the evils of the C word

LIVESTRONG!

LIVEWELL!!

LIVE!!!

Hugz&Khysses to all participating in this awesome worldwide event ESPECIALLY those who have shared memories that opened up parts of their hearts and minds to expose the raw emotions caused by what the evil C did to them and those they love and loved

We would like to thank Milo and Alfie for helping to make this happen - it is quite personal for them so it makes it even MORE special!

Khyra and Phyll

Our hearts are crying as we read the beautiful tributes you posted.
So much sadness,,,, that could be stopped if only there was a cure.
Sometimes it seems we keep our minds from going down certain paths because of memories that cause so much pain,,,, but the stories must be told,, and we must fight,,, we must not leave the stories untold,,, we thank you for that,,,, we just couldn't do it.. on our bloggy...
I am sorry for all this sadness your hearts have felt....
we will fight together,,, we will not give up.
love

Khyra, you and your Mom are so kind. Mommy is sad at times because she has lost some good friends to that awful disease. One time we saw a quote that said"I wish cancer would get cancer and die, so it would leave our loved ones alone". We are going to try to work on something, this is a very nice post and Mommy especially loves the picture of you looking out the window.

You, your mom, Brofur and Butterskotch put together a lovely post and tribute today. We are thinking of all those affected by cancer and praying that one day no one else will be.

Hey! I know Summi's mummi too!!! We think she is a very special person in many ways!

That evil C word has touched us too. Mom lost her dad to throat cancer when he was only 51 years old. He missed meeting his first grandchild by 19 days.

It also took mom's kitty Kirby, and her sweet Shula Mae. Even Samuel had a spindle cell tumor removed from his side.

So, we are definitely fans of ending this evil disease!

LiveStrong fur sure!!!

I'm remembering and praying for everyone in for Livestrong. I missed Livestrong and I'm sorry I didn't read about it sooner. As you know my daughter had her baby then one of my friends passed away unexpectantly and it was my parents 80th birthday party today. So needless to say I fell behind in my blogging.
Have a nice week!
