I'm going to turn this ovfur to Mom now so she khan paw about the evil C word - as our LIVESTRONG opening pikh indikhated, our post is in honour of all those touched by the evil C past, present, and future
This is my cousin Linda - bone cancer took her on September 15, 1997 - she was 36 years old - she left four children - the youngest of which will only know his mom through pics and memories shared by his sisters, brother, dad, and others in Linda's life -
Linda represents the past
And this is Shelly - 'mummi' to Khyra's Malamute BF Summiii The Super Mal - she's a TEN year survivor!!!!!!!!!!
Shelly represents the present
AND the future with Maddox - one of her twin grandsons
Here's to Maddox and his brother Drake - and Linda's children NOT having to know the evils of the C word
LIVESTRONG!
LIVEWELL!!
LIVE!!!
Hugz&Khysses to all participating in this awesome worldwide event ESPECIALLY those who have shared memories that opened up parts of their hearts and minds to expose the raw emotions caused by what the evil C did to them and those they love and loved
We would like to thank Milo and Alfie for helping to make this happen - it is quite personal for them so it makes it even MORE special!

Our hearts are crying as we read the beautiful tributes you posted.
So much sadness,,,, that could be stopped if only there was a cure.
Sometimes it seems we keep our minds from going down certain paths because of memories that cause so much pain,,,, but the stories must be told,, and we must fight,,, we must not leave the stories untold,,, we thank you for that,,,, we just couldn't do it.. on our bloggy...
I am sorry for all this sadness your hearts have felt....
we will fight together,,, we will not give up.
love

Khyra, you and your Mom are so kind. Mommy is sad at times because she has lost some good friends to that awful disease. One time we saw a quote that said"I wish cancer would get cancer and die, so it would leave our loved ones alone". We are going to try to work on something, this is a very nice post and Mommy especially loves the picture of you looking out the window.
licks and sniffs, Sasha
You, your mom, Brofur and Butterskotch put together a lovely post and tribute today. We are thinking of all those affected by cancer and praying that one day no one else will be.
Hey! I know Summi's mummi too!!! We think she is a very special person in many ways!
That evil C word has touched us too. Mom lost her dad to throat cancer when he was only 51 years old. He missed meeting his first grandchild by 19 days.
It also took mom's kitty Kirby, and her sweet Shula Mae. Even Samuel had a spindle cell tumor removed from his side.
So, we are definitely fans of ending this evil disease!
LiveStrong fur sure!!!
Holly and Khady Lynn
Woof to you Khyra. We see you at Cory's and the Creek Cats and thought we'd visit.
We're hoping this day will help people, cats and dogs find good information and help.
We'll fight together and we'll win. Live strong!
What a beautiful tribute. Well done Khyra's Khorner, well done.
Bravo! We also saw Twixxy is shining the yellowness also!
Blaugh! I am yet to meet somedoggy that doesn't know somebody that has had/does have/may have that horrible C word...

We LiveStrong with you and we StandStrong with you in the battle against this horrible disease and in honor of the valiant soldiers who have rode into battle to beat down this detestable foe.
Thank you from our hearts for supporting LIVESTRONG day by going yellow.
Blessing to all those who are currrently fighting cancer, are cancer survivors, or who have lost their lives to this terrible disease. We are very sad to hear about cousin Linda losing her life ~ blessings to her.
LIVESTRONG always.
Love from Milo and Alfie, Mom-Jan and our Dad xxxx
Great post, Khyra. We are remembering all those who fought the good fight. The C word is such an ugly word...we are crossing our paws that there will be a cure one day.

Gosh that was a great post. We are so sorry about Linda and at such a young age. But we are so glad to hear about the present times and see the future. We also hope that they come up with a miracle cure for this horrible disease once and for all. So Livestrong. Take care.
Brilliant post. I love your yellow mix. Remembering the one's lost and celebrating the future and the survivors.. Special.. Hugs GJ xx
A beautiful post, Khyra and Mom. We echo your sentiment and wish that no child would have to grown up without a parent because of cancer.
Thanks for sharing your stories, even the very sad one of the young mother, your cousin, who died from bone cancer.
I love the story of Shelly, the survivor! Live Strong Shelly!
Together we all show our support in making cancer awareness today. Too many lives have been lost. Hopefully some day cancer will be something of the past never to worry about again.
My grandmomma died of that evil C way before I was born but it still makes momma sad and mad at the C. That was a very nice post in memory of battles won and lost.
MFT! That was a great post about a most important topic. I think there is not one human who has not had a person close to them with the big bad C. It is just awful.
Slobbers,
Mango
P.S. Gosh, I am so behind in reading blogs. Oops.
Oh my. That was one emotional post. All around.
Lots of sadness for the past. Much appreciation of the present. Indescribable hope for the future.
You put together an amazing post Khyra.
Thanks for being here. LiveStrong. Together.

Great job Khyra,
Just about everyone has been touched by the horrible "C" at one time or another.....we're hopin' that a cure fer it comes 'n soon....'n that everyone now sufferin' from that dreaded disease can be included in that cure....

Very beautiful post Khyra and Phyll!
What a touching post. We were overwhelmed by the # of bloggers who participated in LIVESTRONG. What a wonderful outpouring of support.
I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin. such a young age. go yellow! and great job for helping to spread the word!
It's good to remember those we lost as well as the survivors.
What a beautiful tribute to both your cousin and your friend. Since cancer is a legacy in our family, we only know one way to live, and that's to live strong!
I'm remembering and praying for everyone in for Livestrong. I missed Livestrong and I'm sorry I didn't read about it sooner. As you know my daughter had her baby then one of my friends passed away unexpectantly and it was my parents 80th birthday party today. So needless to say I fell behind in my blogging.
Have a nice week!
xxoo
