Enjoying my breakfast following that one
Monday's I did so she khould see me do it - and let the flashie beastie khapture too
Tukhked into the khorner of my favourite chair
I would like woo to chekhk out THIS PAWESOME BURYING of a nom nom bone! I think it might not go ovFUR real well here with The Doggy Nanny!
Last week we shared the BUTTER skhulpture from The Pawsylvania Farm Show. Well, another tradition is the Sheep To Shawl Khompetition
This beaWOOty helped inspire

The winning shawl!

Here is the press release about it and here is a short video explaining why the Ruffed Grouse was part of it!

BTW, Pawsylvania has a state dog too - I wonder if Honey helped model fur it?

PeeEssWoo: Tank woo fur your kind words to Ziggy and Pedro's furamily - they really appreciated all we pawed in support!

AND NOW IT IS TIME to visit Fiona's blog fur she lost her khat brofur Mr Bufus - I bet Ziggy has already greeted him and taken him on the special tour!

What a neat trick burying your bone in the sofa. Although, I much prefer the one where the bone is "buried" in my mouth and conveniently finds its way into my stomach! The shawl really does look like the bird. Amazing!

Life With Dogs said...

I'm from PA and had no idea there was a state dog. You know it all, don't you? :)

JackDaddy said...

The shawl is amazing. Someone has an amazing talent!

Snowie Baby said...

my mom hopes i can play hide and seek with my bone with her too!

have a great day!

The Shawl is very beawootiful, but shouldn't we see how much Sibe fur we can get for a Northwoods shawl? Beautiful and warm!

Your bone hiding is cool, Khyra, I never hide things except my favorite toy sometimes.

Jazzi said...

You sure are good at the hiding spots for your bones. I know that there is a reason that you are so smart. lol Keep up the good work!!

pee ess woo: neither CA or CT have state dogs. and would you believe that Alaska doesn't even have one but they have a state SPORT? guess what that sport is? but do they name the dog? nooooo. stoooopid state. ;)

Sam said...

Khyra, I always get such a kick out of your bone-hiding antics. Marge would never let it happen - all her food is immediately hidden in the depths of her tummy :)

Suka said...

hey Khyra,

I am sorry to read of another passing, Mr. Bufus. Thanks for letting us know. Beautiful cat.

Your treat hiding always cracks me up! I also admire your patience. When a treat is in my mouth, it isn't. Because I eat it so fast it barely has time to sit in my mouth! Very funny video, by the way.

p.s. thanks for the cool info on the PA farm fair. That shawl is beautiful!

We caught up on the post we had missed. We are very sorry about the loss of your friends. We will try to go by and offer words of comfort to their families today.

NC state dog is the Plott Hound - bred in the Plott Mountains very near our house. An amazing tracking dog.

Love the biscuit hiding - because that is something we never do.

Rocky Creek Scotties and Java said...

You are a great bone hider - Mom would never get anything done if all of us did that - we just break them in two in the middle and chomp them all down.

That shawl is beautiful. Our Mom has always wanted to learn how to spin. She knows how to knit.

Hi! My name is Remington, nice to meet you! I like the game of try to find the bone I will have to have Beth play that with me!
I showed Beth your blog and she was interested in the shawl -- see she is a fiber artist and does all sorts of things like that! She even makes my fur into yarn! Funny lady.... I look forward to hearing more about your life!

The OP Pack said...

Now if we could get one of those bones like Shelby had, there is no way we would try to hide it, yummers!!!

Too many furries passing - time now for it to stop.

Such beautiful colors in that shawl and a very interesting story behind it.

Looks like a great game, but it requires delayed gratification, and I eat 'em when they are dealt to me.

Ginger Jasper said...

I love the game you play with mum. It must be enjoyed very much by you otherwise you would eat them straight away. Yet another loved one gone to the bridge, so sad this year already.. HUgs GJ x

Do you ever give mom a Treasure Map to help her find your bisquits?? She is good a finding, butt you are better at hiding. I'm just sayin'.
Love that bird. Did you chase it???

Thor said...

Glad you liked my paws placement Khyra!
Great job with your biscuit!
Shiloh did a great job burying her bone too!
Thanks for sharing all this news!

Shawnee the Shepherd said...

You has the kewlest hidey spots for your biskits. I is taking notes.

Anonymous said...

My assistant would concur with your doggy nanny... real bones shouldn't be lurking in the sofa or anywhere else in the house. She thinks Shelby's "mom" is a little cuckoo.

Hey Khyra - what's with the life-sized stuffie in that chair?? Did I miss a post about this? Are you doing experimental stuffie breeding in your spare time?

Scout 'n Freyja said...

You are just so good at hiding and at making sure you keep your mom's brain nice and greased with all that thinking!

We are going to the blogs that you mentioned to offer our condolences...sigh.

Kira The BeaWootiful said...

Wooos, MFT! Nice job there burying that bone, me, I would just eat it but Scampi can appreciate it. We watched the other husky burying her in the couch too, way cute!
Stunning shawl Mum says!

Samantha said...

Khyra - you're a genius to bury your bones. I haven't ever done that, or at least Mom's never seen me at it, because everything I manage to get into my maw goes down my gullet, never to be seen again. I'm amazed that you can take a biscuit in your teeth and hide it without eating it!!!! Incredible! That shawl is gorgeous BTW, and I never knew PA had a state dog. Wonder if CA has one - must look.

Big Hugs xo

Chef said...

I love how you and Shelby hide your bones, Khyra. I never hide my food. My parents find my toys in odd places so maybe I hide those and maybe I don't, but I'm not telling!

Steve, Kat, & Wilbur said...

Do you ever let your mom eat any of the biscuits that she finds?

Cyber-sibes said...

That's furry clever of woo to keep training your mom. It probably makes her life less boring. Beawootiful shawl! Mom keeps boxes of our fur so someday she can do a "husky to hat" project or something like that.

We are sad to hear that another one of your friends had to go to the bridge - that is very sad. We are sending our thoughts to his family.

We think that the biscuit hunting game is so fun - we wish we could play like that. But we get too caught up and eat our treats right away!

The Meezers and Billy said...

we tried that wif tem-tay-shuns, but then we forgotted where we putted them and then the mom finded them unner the stove and they was dusty so we didn't want to eat them anymore.

You're so funny with how you hide your bones Khyra! We didn't think you actually got up in the chair to do it!

That bird and shawl are pretty! They are both beawootiful colors!

Aren't you the state dog of Pawsylvania?

Our mommy gets so sad to hear about others crossing the bridge. We're thinking of Fiona and her family though.

Honey the Great Dane said...

How interesting, Khyra - I never knew that about state dogs! Thank you for sharing that!!

And my goodness - do you know - I bury my bones just like you?! Not in the sofa coz I'm not allowed on it but I roll them up under my bed or in the corner of rooms...my human thinks it's really funny too! :-)

Does your human leave your 'treasures' there for you to find again afterwards or does she take them away?

You are an excellent bone hider! As I was checking out things at Petco the other day, I thought I spied Khyra down one of the aisles... alas, she must have been a relative, but was way cute, just like you!

Miss Khyra
Your mom needs to count to 5 before she looks for your biscuit. I mean really.. disclosing your hiding spots. If only she could find that pot of gold..

I guess it's a good thing your mom only gives you DRY, "fake" bones, instead of the moist, real ones to hide!!

Ok, this was suppose to be a better year, and not so many puppers going to the bridge. Time to stop.

Oh boy you should come to our house. We are good hunters but bad hidders so we could be a great team.
