We are still thinking of Tasha AND more importantly we are thinking of her family. Everyone has left such nice words on blogs all over the blogworld expressing their khare and support. After seeing the nice message they left on my blog yesterday, Mom and I wrote to Tasha's family - thanking them for taking the time to leave such a nice khomment. Tasha's mom wrote bakhk - said Tasha's dad is taking it the hardest. She's saving all the wonderful things to show him when he's ready.

As Mom wrote the khlosing portion of the message, words from a certain song khame to mind - she googled it and found a very fitting way to share them. The artist that wrote the song left us too early - just like Tasha.

I think you'll find THIS EARWORM much better than the last one I khaused!

Mom and Dad had a girl, girl, boy, and girl!

The banding today was very interesting and entertaining to humans and khanines alike! The birds are very healthy this year. Last year's hatchlings all had to be treated for mites/etc during their banding. These all appeared to be free of those pests.

A certain khaninaturalist khouldn't take her ears off the feed - same for my BFF .

5/15/2008 :: What's Next!The next big event associated with the Rachel Carson falcon family will be the banding of the eyases; all four seem healthy and are developing normally. The banding event will be live Webcast and 150 students and their teachers will witness the proceedings in the Rachel Carson State Office Building auditorium. The event takes place on May 22nd at 1 PM. Those who are interested in endangered species management and biodiversity education are invited to visit the DEP Website and watch as the young birds are assigned the alpha numeric codes that will stay with them the rest of their lives.

You WILL want to watch if you khan! It is INKHREDIBLE!

Human(e) Rights Day!

Well, the idea to blog about Human Rights was cirkhulated - well, there is nothing wrong with THAT but my two role models Meeshka and Turbo felt it was important we khanines should spread the word - along with our fuzz - for HUMANE Rights.

Since I live in PA - a state that is sadly known for puppy mills - I found it a sniff of fresh air that on Wednesday, there was a rally in Harrisburg - near where my PF's hang out - for a khrakhdown on Puppy Mills.

And if that wasn't enough to make you get angry about these deplorable situations, have your human chekhk this one too.

Please realize we are warm and loving khreatures - and should be treated as such. After all, we love you, we miss you, we fuzz you - we give you a reason to khome home from work - of khourse we try to make you feel guilty for leaving us to go to work. Hey, we understand! You've got to make money to buy our khybble - our toys - and all those things we've khome to dekhlare as key to khanine khomfort!

SO, please - remember we might be 'animals' but we have rights too!

Well, whilst Mom was out snagging some good eats, the eyasses prakhticed the group hug they would give her on MOTHER'S DAY - TODAY!

Since we are on the topikh of special moms, I would like to khomment on my MalGuyPal Summi and HIS special Summi Mummi! Well, the moms of SMS - inkhluding my MalGalPal , my BFF , and my SibeFella all khonspired to surprise Summi's mummi Shelly with something FURRY VERY SPECIAL! Even The Overland Park Pakhk's mom helped (but they don't have a blog yet so I khan't link to them BUT one of them is K(h)at's special fella ThunderDunder) when she helped my mom throw Summi's mummi off the trakhk with what she thought her gift was going to be!
AND WE DID IT!
Saturday was a khool day around here with lots of emails, phone khalls, and KHOOKIES! My mom passed some of the day keeping herself busy by making khookies from a recipe from Summi's mummi's grandmom AND chikhken/khorn/blakhk beans/salsa/khream cheese from Frankie and Maddie's mom Diane - the same name as my auntie in Phoenix who is the mom to my khousin Abby
Everything was a sukhcess - Summi's mummi was speechless and made rain khome from her eyes, the khookies were good, the chikhken was great, AND I got a walk!
