Thursday Thanking and Thinking

 Wednesday evening's nest report
Mom's khrakhkberry triggered the flash again - as it was khlouding up like it was going to rain -
 Wednesday morning

Looks like a gang of wing beak talon to see which 'baby' will go furst!
My pal JR The Mail Kharrier is retiring this week - so Mom and I got him a khookie - and The Nice Bakery Department Manager Lady suggested dekhorating with bones and paw prints when we explained the okhkhasion - Mom and I gave it to him on Tuesday
Now fur sad thinking and thanking - this is from The Rotts 'n Pups Facebook page -

In August of 2011, Dexter (then Fonzi) was adopted by a lady in CT but things didn't work out for one reason or another and we had to find a home for this gorgeous boy quickly. We contacted our dear friend and fellow rescuer, Kim Carter, who is from CT and now lives in GA. Her best friends, Tom and Gail Stevenson, said they would take Fonzi at least to foster but they fell in love with him and ended up adopting him. He had the perfect life with a wonderful family and all was grand! Until a few days ago when he was diagnosed with a weird lung infection that was not responding to treatment; he had an appt with a vet from Cornell specialist to find out what the infection was but on May 20th he stopped breathing and died on the way to the ER Vet while his parents where performing CPR on him. Dexter was approximately 4 years old and WAY too young to leave this earth. Needless to say his family is totally devastated and our hearts go out to them. Thank you Tom and Gail for coming to the rescue for this wonderful pup when he needed you most and for giving him a great home. May he rest in peace and may your hearts mend soon.

Mom checkhked my blog fur she remembered Fonzi - and this was our post - even Auntie Di had been part of his transport
Mom didn't get home from The GKP until almost 7:30pm - she had one of those things that she doesn't usually do but she just knew she had to this time - someone that she knew since 1979 suddenly crossed The Human Rainbow Bridge this past Sunday - Phil was only 59 human years old - Mom worked with him for many many years -and had even gotten together with him for lunch a few times since their work lives took them away from their long term employer - she had so many memories from their times together - as well as memories with his wife and family SO she make a detour by the Celebration of Live for Phil - she's glad she did - even though she's so not fond of those things - of khourse, now she's wishing she had just one more lunch with him - Phil and his wife had bekhome fans of those retired racing dogs - and now a beawooty named Abby is missing one of her favorite humans - the family even rekhwested donations to Greyhound Rescue - I told Mom we should paws a few green paper$ in his memory -

Have a Thanking and Thinking Thursday EvFURRYone!

We're sorry to hear about the two crossings. It sounds like both will be sorely missed.

We finally got sunshine for our walk this morning but it's looking like clouding over now. Paws crossed it won't rain again. Everything is still saturated from yesterday's deluge.

Woofs,
Tommy
