Monday MOMday

Angel Merdie was there in spirit - and we did dedicate the transport to her!

 Lucky
Ranger on the left; Gwyneth showing off her khute Rotti Rear!
Ranger sported QUITE the flooooofy tail!

Gwyneth had heard a certain BROWN LABRADORK was hot for her - and toyed with making a Zen-terra detour
 Chester's Exit From I81
North of Scotland, Gwyneth decided she wanted to hang out in the back with the boys

 Our exit
They all knew the drill - the change in speeds meant change in vehicles

All three special passengers came with sad stories - here is Smokey's - he is now Ranger and living the good life in Manalapan NJ

Smokey was found abandoned in a convenience store parking lot after someone had been selling his siblings out of the trunk of their car in Georgia.  The person who found him could no longer keep him.
Smokey is extremely intelligent; at 6 weeks old he was sitting and shaking hands.  Smokey is playful and sweet with no issues.  He would do great with a family and kids.  Smokey loves to fetch and return tennis balls and loves to go for car rides.  Smokey is approximately 18 months old now and weighs around 40 lbs.  He needs to put on some weight but otherwise he is very healthy.

Here is Lucky's story - he'll be living the pawesome life in The Big Apple -with a KHAT sister who thinks she's a dog -

Lucky has certainly earned his name! He has been through so much in his life already. Before Rotts N Pups rescued him, Lucky had been beaten and starved and was so afraid of people and new situations. He has been in a wonderful foster home, recovering well and learning how to be a good house dog but misfortune has struck again and his wonderful foster home burned down right around Christmas. His foster family has been working hard to make sure Lucky was taken care of throughout everything they've been going through. Lucky is now settled in a new foster home, but very ready for his own forever home.

He is a very sweet dog with a great personality; he is a love bug. He has a lot of energy and loves to run and play, and would be a great companion. He gets along very well with all the other dogs he's met (ranging in size from small to large) and just wants someone who will play with him and give him some well deserved love and attention. He just needs some training and some patience when he is faced with new situations, but he will make a wonderful pet and friend.
He is approximately 6-7 months old and weighs about 35-40 lbs. He is crate trained and mostly housebroken. He is very food motivated and enjoys treats and rawhides.

Did I mention Ranger had QUITE the FT?

And Gwyneth - well to say her story is beyond sad would be an understatement - here is her story - she's now Gwyn and living in White Plains - she couldn't get enough belly rubs from her new mom and dad when they met -

We got Gwyneth from Gwinnett County Animal Control where she ended up after a raid was conducted on the premises of her owners.  They had fighting dogs and Gwyneth was the bait dog.  She was covered in bite wounds and lacerations.  She was also very thin and scared of everything.  The vet at animal control cleaned her up and said she would be fine.  We've had Gwyneth for almost 3 weeks now and she is doing GREAT!  The scars have healed nicely and most of her hair where she was shaved has grown back.  She has filled out nicely and is now quite playful.  Gwyneth loves everyone she meets, likes going for car rides and going on walks.  Gwyneth is currently in a foster home with three kids and two cats.  She does need a little training but I'm sure that will come in due time; our first priority was to make sure that she recovered and would not be too traumatized.  Gwyneth is about a year old and weighs about 45 lbs.  She is a small rottie which is perfect for someone who has never had Rottweilers

She says those unhumans can khyss her Rotti Rear!
So shy - Whitney was quite proud of her!
Their ride to Allentown sported this decal
With a license plate showing their new lives would be HaPpY!!!
How special - the driver I met in Hagerstown passed this along!
 It was tasty!!!!!!
Since Angel Merdie's last birthday happened to be the day Angel Mango RH left us, I wanted to let him be part of the day
Unlike the last trip past Harrisburg, it was there today!

The messages were read - and inspired Khyra for her Sunday afternoon walk!

What a GReat day - of course, Angel Merdie helped see it was safe too - these three were true gems and made the leg just not long enough - as they were just fun to talk with!

Thanks Rotts N Pups!!!

Here is the link to The Photobucket - unfortunately, their switch to the beta version - new and improved - NOT - made it a challenge for me - I need to realize I should load the pictures in the reverse order of how I want them to be viewed as I didn't have the patience or time to fight my way around ordering them as I wanted them ordered SO I just let 'em be - I also see the slideshow feature is 'coming soon' - I don't want to move to another site as I've all my previous transports 'there' - so for now...

Happy Monday EvFURRYone!

A very fitting one for sweet Merdie. All of these sad stories with such happy endings. What a great bunch of pups!

And we could see the extent to which there was no snow around you! It just seems so strange...

Firstly we want to say that we missed so many postss because of stupid events and we didnt know about Merdie. So so sorry and we send love. Then that poor sweet rottie to be used as bait. How could they. They cant be called human. So glad that he was able to overcome that awful trauma and he will so be a loving dog now. All of the transport woofies were lovely and are now safe and for forever homes. Khyra your mum is amazing.. Hugs GJ xx

(Actually, today it is raining "cats and dogs" the weatherman is saying.)
Maybe tonight we will have 24 inch ice!

You have no white stuff??? What is up with that? So much snow around you and it completely went right by you! Mother Nature is just not very nice to you is she?

Great friends you have there! What is up with the snow? All we seem to get in WI is ice! Makes it hard to run with the football!

You tell 'em, Gwyneth! Angel Merdie was such a beautiful girl.
The rain and the fog is eating our snow, Khyra! It's probably reduced by half at this point and it's all sloppy and icky!

Love ya lots,
Mitch and Molly

Well Khyra, our mommy has been extra busy so we haven't been able to stop by and when we do, we see Merdie right away so now she's leaky again! On her walk tonight she saw a Merdie dog too so we think it's angel Merdie telling her she's with Sadie and Sadie is okay. Okay, now she can't see to type!

Beautiful passengers, but I'm stuck on the treats for the driver idea. I can't foster (Gg) can't drive (no time and nerve damage in my right leg), but I *CAN* provide treats for my local rescue for those who do the work I cannot...

We cannot believe the stupidity of some people. All of those horror stories made Mama mad but we are glad that all three dogs are being taken care of.

Angel Merdie did a great job watching over them get to their destinations.

Love -
