Monday MOMday

This was a sign from Angel Sierra - she's Auntie Di's Golden Retriever waiting at The Rainbow Bridge - more about that later

OH SO WET!!!  I moved The Zen-terra a bit closer to Crystal's vehicle - we did a quick move of the crates - and I made sure to snag Booberry from her - for she had expressed how smitten she was!

You can see the rain all the door's armrest portion - that was from just having the door open long enough to move her to The Zen-terra!
Trust me - it says WELCOME TO PAWSYLVANIA!!!
Mia was behind my seat
Sheba was on watch from hers - I so wish I could have time just to put the crate in and let her out to ride free - she would have made an awesome shotgun pal too!  She didn't miss a thing on the way to Harrisburg

Mission Accomplished!!!

Reading the messages sent by Booberry, Mia, and Sheba!
Booberry and some of her FURever family The Houlihans - here is the note they sent us Sunday evening

Booberry is home.  She is a beautiful girl.   Oh what lap dog she is.  All the cousins, doggie and human were on hand to welcome her.  Boo settled in very nicely.  I am sure tomorrow will be a fun day as she explores and gets to know everyone.

Thank you all for making this happen.  Boo told us you were all perfect.

Claire, John and all the Family

All of her doggie cousins were waiting with a gift for her - they included Basset. Beagles, Labs, Dachshund, and Shih Tzu -

I mentioned above about Angel Sierra - well, the run sheet had a dedicated to Angel Toby - he kept all of us safe as the transport made its way from Georgia to New Jersey - here is what was sent along -

TRANSPORT DEDICATION:  RIP, Sweet Toby
This transport is dedicated in honor of Toby, a handsome Golden Retriever, whose life was cut way too short a couple of weeks ago – sweet Toby was only 5 years old.  Toby came to live with Patty Bishop, one of our very loyal driving team members (leg 6), when he was just a tiny puppy…Patty drove hundreds of miles to get him out of one of those awful backyard breeder situations.  When he came to live with Patty, he came with a serious heart murmur.  On the evening of July 31, Toby collapsed – most likely from a clot that broke loose and entered his lungs. Patty rushed him to the vet, but it was with much sadness that he was not able to be saved; he crossed the bridge in Patty’s loving arms.

Toby, I am proud to know your wonderful mom and be able to call her my friend… all of us on this transport team understand and share your mom’s grief.  We are very sad that your life here was much too short, but the years you were with Patty were wonderful…you loved being with her, the other rescued dogs, the rescued cats, and the rescued horses on “your” farm, carrying around logs and three tennis balls at the same time!  We are grateful you were with her for 5 years and that now you are running free at the bridge, without pain.  We thank you for watching over your mom and the rest of our transport driving team and sleepover family; guiding them and keeping them safe on their travels as they move three beautiful rescued dogs to new beginnings

I am sure Angel Sierra helped him watch over us - as well as shared her tennis balls!

It was a very special day - and we thank Angel Toby for keeping it dry for our time in Harrisburg - I would have been quite sad to not have had the opportunity to capture this trio on video!

Here is the Photobucket Link - four videos and an assortment of pics - one of the videos even includes a special guest AND another one shows exactly how freakin' sweet Sheba is - oh the bath she gave me as she worked her Rotti magic - her dad should be thrilled she's HOME

Three more examples of how RESCUES ROCK!!!

Thank you Rotts N Pups for making a difFURence!!!

Happy Monday Everyone!

Khyra will be back tomorrow to tell about a special auction item she asked to be donated for a very special human family

She wanted me to pass along that I'll be doing two extra days at The GKP this week - we won't be able to catch up on the zillion posts we've got in our GR - please forgive us

Oh those pups made Mommy squee again! We're glad that Booberry has such a wonderful furever family! Our mommy got all leaky on the dedication part. She's such a sap.

First, RIP Toby...so happy he lived a good life with loving hands touching him everyday. And, of course I love your paws Khyra, so furry! And Mom really wishes she could find a way to get into transport like you guys do. It is harder than she thought but she is still making contacts. Paw pats, Savannah
