Monday MOMday

Watching my snow so no one snags it!

Making sure Mom was still in there!

Now to let her take the keyboard fur the post

Thanks Khyra

From Angel Elyse's Foster - I saw this on the string of posts for Catherine and Elyse

I had the great pleasure of fostering Elyse for the 2 weeks she was waiting for transport. I want to share with all of you what an incredibly wonderful little girl she was. Elyse loved life. Everything was new and exciting to her. If she wanted to play she would walk up to my "big" dogs (I do basset rescue) and woof at them until someone would play with her. She found my wood pile endlessly entertaining. She'd drag a stick or log that was twice her size all over the house. At night she'd curl up with Hope, my patially paralzyed girl, and several other pups that are here temporarily. I think, though, her biggest joy in life was grabbing onto my pant legs and try to shake me. I spent many hours walking around with her hanging on.Catherine had helped transport many of my dogs over the years. That part of NM doesn't have a lot of people willing to drive and she always stepped up to the plate. She will be greatly missed & never forgotten.Thank you for keeping their them alive in our hearts.

Angel Catherine B - I took this from her FB page - so sad - especially since I saw from her page she was just a bit younger than me

You know this view

The first YELLOW for MURRAY I could snag - this was whilst I waited in Hagerstown

This cute graphic was included on the email when one of the handoffs was completed

I had to negotiate regaining my seat behind the wheel

*

The face did show a bit of disappointment - she really did want to drive!

More YELLOW for MURRAY as we waited to leave the shopping center

She was looking for Air Fiona at The Hagerstown Airport - but Fi and Ab were too busy playing frisbee in the snow AGAIN!

Home State Home!!!

She SO had her eye on me!

That face - I lost count of how many times I told her how beautiful she was!

She looked for Big Brown as we passed his part of the route - he must have been out chasing hoggehs!

The Paws

She admitted she had steamed up the window

Some BONUS YELLOW for MURRAY!

At the traffic light at the exit from I81

Showing off her pointing skills

Of course there will be a Rotti rear view

The Evil Rotti Laugh -

The Angel Rotti Look

There is a Harrisburg pic this weekend - actually two of them - the other is in the Photobucket along with this one

Back to York

Mission Accomplished

What a special passenger on a special transport protected by two special angels - here is a link to one of the news stories about the tragic event

Words just don't incorporate the emotions all of us have felt since we learned of what had happened

Once again, it shows how life can shatter in a blink - so all of us must seize the day!

Here is the link to the Photobucket -only two videos this time - since it was so windy and cool, I didn't subject Lilith to much of the conditions - but she did get a chance to see the OTHER Lilith in Harrisburg

I did get a pic of Lilith with her mom and dad - I'll share that later in the week - it looked like love at first sight - but she'll need some extra TLC as she gets settled in - her young life - she was only a bit more than a year old - had changed drastically due to her other owners' situation - but now she'll be home FUREVER!

I got to hear some incredible tunes as I headed South - xpn.org was doing some Valentines Day tunes - three that REALLY got me were three of my favourites - I'll just link to them from here - and surprise you!

One

Two

Three

Happy Monday and MOMday from Khyra's Khorner!

Come back tomorrow for Khyra's Special Valentine Day post - just like Whitney commented on her WhWhWh post, I'm pretty sure she's got something special up her paw!

It's so lovely to read about Elyse from her foster and hope Elyse has found her forever home.

The rottie girl stole my heart again. Look at her big head, brown brows, big paws and the beautiful bum, she is a beauty.

Such a sad story about Elyse and Catherine. As you say, things can SO change in the blink of an eye.

Miss Lilith has quite the gorgeous face and penetrating eyes. We hope she settles in well with her new and forever family.

What a tragedy! Like it is said - "in the blink of an eye". Our thoughts are with you and Catherine's family. I am thankful that Elyse had time with you before her short little life ended.

Oh goodness Khyra! How very sad to lose a rescuer and a little puppy all at one time.

Tell your Mom to be extra careful when she is out there transporting pups!
