Harrisburg as I headed East

The split to head South to The EarthLink Building

Neddie and Lil Sampson enjoying some time prior to heading to Hamburg

Another split - this time for I78 - do you see the cloud wings?

For Murray - two of his favourite things - Yellow AND McDonalds!

They had passed me on I78 - glad I was behind them at the light for I hadn't snagged their plate - they were a bit confused - A Crosstour is NOT a Charrger!

Lil Sampson playing coy

Neddie was so NOT the pic you saw on Sunday's post

He was content to stay in his crate whilst waiting for his Jeep Liberty for the next leg

THOSE EYES! THAT FACE!

Ansley

Jonathan

He was quite impressive - definitely a strong fella!

*

Getting settled in - my apologies to Boomer for not getting any pics of him - he was a sweet little fella - Chi Mix -

Neddie was keeping The Xterra safe whilst the others were getting situated

Samantha had wanted him to ride on her lap but he liked the security of the footwell as they left the park - he was a bit intimidated by the two larger pups - which did present a challenge for the transport - that is why there aren't more pics and videos

A shot as I left

Cabelas just before I hopped back onto I78

Oh to be in New Brunswick NS!

Harrisburg Part Two

Heading back

Mission Accomplished Again!

As I shared above, it was a bit of a challenging transport - Edith - one I meet in Hagerstown quite often - and you've seen here - called me Sunday afternoon to tell me that the two uncrated dogs had taken issue with Neddie - just the sight of him started them barking and more - and since she knew I was to take all five, she wanted to let me know - I decided I would put one in the front seat - then use the crates to divide them - and put the other uncrated one in the back of The Xterra - and if necessary, I'd put towels over the crates to block the view

This didn't end up being necessary since one of the Hagerstown to Harrisburg drivers offered to go on to Hamburg with them - so we did that -

Since the next driver had The Jeep Liberty you'll see in the Photobucket, there wasn't much room for too many alternative plans - I suggested we take Neddie from his crate - let Ansley have his crate - let Jonathan ride in the back of The Liberty - and let Neddie ride shotgun with Samantha as her husband Shawn drove - again, as you saw above, Neddie decided to protect Samantha's feet in the footwell - and all pulled away happily and one step closer to home -

I know some of have commented or asked in the past about passengers getting along - well, this transport was one of the rare occasions I've encountered this challenge - I think I recall one other time when two Sibe Boys took offense to each other Sunday morning - after being pals on Saturday - and again Sunday night - in that case, one of them had just been neutered - and the other hadn't yet been SO I suspect some morning testosterone spikes to be the culprit -

Once again, the passengers so represent the how much RESCUES ROCK - they are not your classic cute puppies - they are some special souls who'll need to learn to trust and to be loved again - and they will!

Here is the Photobucket Album Link with four short videos - and here is the link for the slideshow of just pics from Sunday

Here is a link to photos from their arrival in NJ - it is from The Last Resorts FB Page - I hope you can see them - lots of very interesting shots - AND you'll see Boomer!

Thanks for all the great wishes for my mom's birthday! She's enjoyed reading all of them!

P.S. Hey Khyra - we need to talk about those pictures you shared!

Happy Birthday to the Doggy Nanny! I loved seeing those pictures.

The pictures of the transports were very cute. My favorite was Ansley's expression.

I love Cabela's! I heard dogs are allowed inside. I want to take Layla one day.

Oh, get ready - August 2012 we'll be in York for a few days!

Khyra, thanks for sharing all the fun of the Doggy Nanny's special day, especially the pics of the two Moms. Gotta love all those beautiful smiles.

Too bad about the challenges of this transport, but at the very least five more pups are on their way to better lives.

Have a great week.

Happy Birthday to the doggy nanny!

Rescue Rocks for sure! We are sending so much love to those dogs and wishing them well in their new lives ~ and hoping they can trust again. If hoomans didn't behave so disgracefully sumtimes the dear little dogs wouldn't hafa re-learn trust. We wish we could change the world. Fanks for doing so much to help.

We hope the Doggy Nanny's birthday was extra special and filled with joy!

We LOVE the photos of the sun flower field...and you!

I have been on planes where I was not thrilled with my seat mates or those around me so it makes sense that dogs during a transport might not always want to be friends. Seems everyone handled getting the job done so each one of these babies could move a few steps closer to a newer better life! Congratualtions to all involved!
