Monday MOMday

With a MERDIE moment to start! Now I'll turn it ovFUR to Mom
Off we go!

*

Almost missed the sign as I entered WV - the driver I was meeting had offered to do a leg and more if I would meet in Martinsburg - which is only twenty miles or so south of Hagerstown - I first met Diana several years ago - we were lucky enough to drive that Laska fella - I had met her in Winchester VA to get him - that was the scared and shellshocked Laska -

Meet the beautiful JoJo

Obviously my shotgun - and of course, the one you'll see the most pictures of - although the Photobucket includes pics from some of Saturday's legs!

She so knew how to work those paws!

Along with THE LOOK! You can see some of her gorgeous colouring in this shot - she was an incredible colour - with velvet fur!

*

See?

Back to Merryland as we crossed The Potomac

Quite the Paw Diva!

With PAWSylvania just ahead

Saw this around Carlisle - and yes, those are raindrops - I think we had 8.7 seconds of rain!

Much of the day was cloudy - good thing - for when the sun emerged, it rose above 90 AGAIN -

She slept and rested much of the way - I had pulled one of the towels from the back and folded it to give her a pillow between the seats - she enjoyed resting her head there - and I didn't want her head to dangle for the 88 miles or so!

I caught one of the sisters commenting on my babbling!

See, there's that look again!

*

She was proud of herself for the snooter shot!

See!

Two of the sisters

The other and Mocha

Even though it is blurry, I had to include it!

Yes, he was as KHUTE as he looks!

Electra from The Last Resort's Transport - she was a beauty - but sooooo scared - it almost seems as if she had known abuse at one time - but you could sense she wanted to trust - it will be a great feeling for her furever people to see her realise humans are okay - I see on The Last Resort's website that she has a FUREVER home - and yes, she'll take some extra TLC given some of her current tendencies but we know how love changes that!

Stacy - she was a sweetie too - I didn't get many pics of the four since it was SO hot and humid by then - and it was time for them to hit the road for Easton - their next stop on their journey to NJ

Since I had mentioned Laska's transport, I snagged a shot of the end of the building where he regained his pride - I will NEVER forget how he saw himself there - and just changed from that moment in a way I might not have believed had I not seen it myself - it was a truly magic moment - that actually just gave me the chills again as I recalled it -

For Murray of course!

This week's Harrisburg shot

This week's journey is almost complete

Mission Accomplished!

What a great bunch - very well behaved and great passengers - didn't hear a peep from those in the back!

Here is the link to the Photobucket Album with LOTS of pictures and the videos - and here is the link to just the slideshow! - with some pictures added at the last minute of Mocha on his way home with his new beans!

You'll see and hear it was dedicated to the very awesome Donna and Lee - who have been deployed to MINOT ND - what a special collection of humans gathered to help those that can't help themselves

Once again, we can see how RESCUES ROCK!!!!!!!!!

Thanks again for the support!

BTW, we will have to employ THAT button on The Google Reader - I bet we are about to top 900 shortly - please realise we only do that when we really have to - we know we understand when others must invoke the mark as read rule - and hope all of you do too!

Oh wow! Are Donna and Lee with Noahs Wish? My friend Betty was there for 2 weeks working mainly in the cat barn. If not which agency did they deploy with? Lots of animals there and those poor people with no homes to return too. I also am a Noahs Wish volunteer.
