Monday MOMday With Our Sunday

Almost as soon as Mom brought me bakhk from my SibeStas...
I went bakhk out to MY tree...
As soon as she was done shaking out the pikhs from the transport, she brought out the khamera...and believe it or not, I wagged my tail at her and went to work...
There was a nice breeze...
I was snoofing...
I was too khwikhk fur her to khapture all of my Doga
******
Here are some of Friday's pikhs of my toad pal...
He's bakhk!
Snooter chekhk...
Mom put him bakhk in his swimming pool...
HOWDY!!!
******
Khyra's Mom now... so I can tell you about Sunday's transport!
WHAT GREAT PASSENGERS!!!
Here is the link to the Photobucket Album...it was soooooo cool to be able to see Sierra and Dusty meet their furever parents!!!
They were sacked out most of the way from Harrisburg to Hamburg. Dusty and Sierra were behind me in the back of the Xterra so I didn't get many pictures but the few I did showed their sibling connection...their paws always seemed to be touching in some fashion.
Jayden wrote shotgun with me (thus more pic opps). I think she's Khyra's friend Flurry's lost sibling - I kept thinking she was Flurry! Her facial markings was soooo similar!
We met at the same park at the foot of the Hawk Mountain foothills. Jayden so had her Siberian eyes and snooter focused on them! She was ready to run and explore!
Here is part of an email I exchanged with Sierra and Dusty's new parents:
To everyone. THANK YOU.

This is the first time we're gone the rescue route to replace loved animals that we've had to put to sleep.
Since 1977 we've had 4 German Shepherds, each unique, each well loved. We never realized the work, planning, and number of people involved to one, save dogs (and cats) from being put to sleep, and then get them to new owners.
After seeing the number of people it will take to get Dusty and Sierra to us, Bonnie and I have talked and somewhere down the road we want to get involved in the "transporting" side of involvement to rescue dogs.

Mark, we will take good care of Dusty & Sierra. Down the road, when you have more time to give an animal the exercise, love, and TIME that it deserves get another. You made a hard decision now to give them up realizing their needs, down the road when you can fulfill an animal's needs properly, go for it.

God bless you all, we pray for your safe journeys both taking the dogs and your return home. Phyll

That ALONE made the day's transport rewarding!
And later Sunday, Sam wrote to say Jayden had made it, met her furever mom, and left to start her new life!
If any of you ever wonder about participating in them, please do! It is just such a cool way to help!
Hugz&Khysses To All
P.S. Next weekend Khyra is permitting me to borrow the Xterra on Saturday AND Sunday! Sunday's will be quite touching for one of the passengers is the Siberian Mom to the five puppies I drove two weeks ago...Anja is coming North to go to her furever home...a home that includes one of her pups!
How great is that???

The close up of your face and then the one where you are smiling are our favorites. Then she read your story to me. You and your Mom are the coolest and nicest people for what you do. Thank you from a dog who was rescued.

"God Bless you for being such a wonderful lady. We need more people to follow your example. There is nothing more rewarding than saving a life."

Love your toad friend. My turtle friend has disappeared and I am so disappointed. I hope he is Ok.

Good Monday Morning, MFT - you are looking quite lovely there, as always. We are beginning to think you really DO like that flashy beast.

Great job on the latest transport. Your Mom is a very special lady to give up her time to help all the pups she has transported. And double duty next weekend - be sure to give her lots of extra kisses and many more photo ops.

Hey Khyra,
Those are great photos. Our dad does transport for Almost Heaven Golden Retriever Rescue and Sanctuary in Delray, WV. A few of us either came to be Bumpass Hounds from there or failed to make the transport trip and just stayed here. Mom and dad say that we're failed fosters. Keep up the good work.
