Our first Dawn's brunch of 2026 -

Of course, some nap time!

SUNday's dinner soup - Shrimp & Potato ChowDAH - perfect way to end the first WFH of 2026 - and I had one piece of the Cheese Naan left from Friday's lunch - OH YUM!

No PFs around The PF Palace when I checked on them - 

Heading to 8pm - 27 - Mostly Cloudy -

NYD evening - and hopinh her first 'venture of 2026 will be exciting -

And off we go -

Khousin Emmy time -

After hearing and reading many many good things, we finally made it to Taste of India  -

Walking into the place, was like a Twilight Zone experience, the exterior and interior didn't match - it was so nicely decorated - and Auntie Di gave the 'ummmm you know facilities' very nice words too - and we all know what a tell that is about a place -

Vegetable Samosas -

Paneed Pakora - both appetizers was OH SO GOOD!!!

I must have changed my mind 87 times before going with this Navrattan Korma - nine veggies with nine spices - PERFECT! -

Auntie Di chose the Cheese Naan for our Naan -

She chose the Saang Paneer - Spinach & Cheese - another big YUM!

The DOG Tax - some of the Naan - and some of our appetizer -

She got some of the Naan for the first taxing -

She said YUM as well -

Her back to The Khottage safely payment - 

I had to go out to The KhrossTrek - and Poly D was waiting at the back door - some rolling and petting ensued until she ran off for more attention elsewhere -

First 'venture of 2026 complete - and napping too - and expecting all her 2026 'ventures to be this FUN!

We will certainly get back to this one as soon as we can work it into the rotation - the foodables were awesome - and the choices for next time - WOW - the service was without complaint - when I paid, I asked the owner where he was from - he was from Nepal - and I complimented him on our lunch experience -

Auntie Di and I did got to Banky's Bakehouse for some sweets - and a coffee for me - no pictures but that was quite tasty too!

Time to go snag the dryer stuff - and ask

Lord PF was in place when we first checked on The PF Palace -

Later in the day, he moved from his standard khorner spot -

About to be 630pm - 25 - Clear -

My kitchen help was waiting for her services to be required -

Crockpot - Pork - Garlic Cloves - Worcestershire Sauce - Sticky Fingers Carolina Sauce - Freshly Ground Pepper - Lid On - High - 4-5 hours - CHECK!

Now to start waiting for her Auntie Di -

I got some of the dessert treats out to thaw - they had been a Rewards Points Option at MyGiant the other week - appetizer or dessert - went with this - and pretty good too!

More waiting for her Auntie Di -

Her patience was soon rewarded -

Time to do some shredding -

She offered to help - 

Pulled pork with some coleslaw and sauce drizzle over Potato Long Roll - 

One of the recipes I had seen whilst looking said something about quartering the pork piece - that was a great idea - made for a better crockpot fit - and easier fo the shredding - 

The Kitchen Help expecting her compensation - she got some roll from both of us - and a small nib of pork from me -

Obviously disappointed she was denied an eclair -

So New Year's Day was good - we sent some of the pork and slaw home with Auntie Di - and some carrots for Khousin Emmy -

I finished Homeland - sad I've completed it as I enjoyed it very much - now to figure what's next!
