Are you ready?
Since Mom will be bakhk to workin' it today
I thought I'd join her!
With some Khonga Line akhtion too!
I've even dirtied my pantyloons!
The cherry buds are ready to start workin' as well
Each day they look fuzzier and fuzzier!
Here is this week's Walkin' Wednesday video link - I hope woo enjoy it - as woo hear Mom babble, we did this one Sunday morning!

I've got some special stuffs that arrived in the mail to share on Thankful Thursday! We also have some pikhs of Chloe who khontinues to settle in - her mom khommented she had asked why the kids hadn't taken any pikhs of her - well, they said they were too busy petting on her! How khool!

We've also read the Babs has been renamed BAILEY - she's doing well but still not sure of the string thing!

Hugz&Khysses,

Khyra

PeeEssWoo: Here are some updates from Jethro - NOW KNOWN AS ZEUS - one was received Monday and the other Tuesday - we had sent along a note about not kharing fur and agreeing with that CM person -

From Monday:
Jethro is home!

So glad to hear Springer is happy, Jen; I think Chloe is the perfect name!

We, too, want to thank EVERYONE for bringing us this gentle guy. We’re also deciding on a name, so far we have Jethro, (of course), Sonny or Zeus. Or maybe J.D. for Jethro Dog...he doesn’t seem to care what we call him, he just lopes over when he wants!

The meeting with Bear was smooth. We were very surprised to see that Bear, who hogs all the lovin’, wasn’t at all jealous of Jethro when we petted him. This has NEVER happened. Bear did spend about two hours trying to mount poor Jethro, who surprisingly, has never showed his belly to Bear, but is holding his own. He found out that Bear’s sensitive ears are his weak spot and now HE chases Bear around. Hoping Caesar is right and they will relax into a comfortable pecking order. Not sure we have the energy to make Bear the alpha. If anyone has any ideas, please share!

Jethro slept sweetly through the night with just one tiny peep of complaint, it was funny to hear him bark! He settled back down quickly and now he’s chewing EVERYTHING -- heading to the store for more puppy-friendly chew toys right now (I heard rawhide isn’t too good for pups). On the bright side, this smart guys takes just a soft “no” to quickly abandon anything he shouldn’t do.

I’ll post photos later, also, when I find my camera cord!!

Again, thanks EVERYONE, Irina, Francesca, all you selfless drivers, THANK YOU!

AND FROM TUESDAY:
Just wanted to share that we’ve finalized a new name for Jethro: All hail Zeus!

I’ve had dogs all my life and they’ve all responded to one name more than another or they looked more like one name; not so our pup! We tried four names on him and none seemed to really, really fit. His personality has lots of facets and we still haven’t pinned him down. We finally narrowed it down to Jethro, Teddy or Zeus. Still couldn’t agree so we put the names with treats and let him pick. Thanks for all the advice! He is doing great, so smart, so sweet and so fitting in nicely with ol’ Bear.

best,

julie

  1. hey Khyra,

Cute cute photos, Khyra! Such a fluffy belly! And your Conga Line action is very fun! You are going to have all the single male dogs panting profusely! :->

You walk in such a nice neighborhood, Khyra. I bet all the blossoming trees and flowers smell so good! And it must be fun to see all the neighborhood doggies and check out all the pee-mail.

"Zeus" is a great name! Thanks for sharing!

p.s. "...they were too busy petting on her." That has got to be one of the sweetest things I have heard!

  8. Momma was sure that the birdie mom was laying another egg yesterday what with all the vocalizing and shifting about, but hopefully just the four. That will be plenty of work for her.

  9. Somehow we don't think your Mom gets to "work it" or dance at her workplace:) Nice belly up shot - we never let the Momster catch THOSE poses outside.
