Thankful Thinking Thoughtful Thursday

We all know how RESKHUES ROKHK - well, the nice folks at Pedigree - who KNOW DOGS RULE
are doing a furry special promotion that all of us khan help with:

For evFURRY post about their special adoption drive, 20# of food will be donated to shelters around the khountry!!!

Woo khan read about it HERE at Bocci's Blog - and see some furry handsome proof of adoption rokhking!

Woo khan read about it HERE as pawed by those khrazy bloggers in Vermont!

Those of woo on FB have seen this pikh of me -it is our khurrent profile pikh - of khourse, I'm an example of RESKHUES ROKHKING!
If woo LIKE THIS PAGE, woo khan help even more!!!

Now fur some more examples of RESKHUE ROKHKING

Say hi to HANK - he had been known as McKenzie when he and his two sisters Sadie and Sophie khame North last fall -

Merlin with new siblings Bear and Belle The Basset Babe
Merlin was the one that was soooooo painfully shy - all of the transporters just wanted to hug him to death to let him know it was okay now - and it would sooooo look as if he understands that too!

His transport was on the day Mom did two of them - here is THAT LINK so woo khan see Merlin in The Xterra

Meet Mush - he was amongst the furst transport of Chugs Mom had - he had been khalled Nobby then

But his new mom said he's just so MUSH like the name stukhk!

Those Chugs had also been on the transport fur the last one I have updated pikhs fur - here is that one - and it inkhluded this last furry special girl

Do woo remember Carrie?
She was the sweet deaf pup Mom transported bakhk in August

Stunning
Just having fun whilst she khan
With her special human angel
Now here khomes the potentially sad part - so please be ready - but remember the theme of today's post when woo read the email we got from the nice Mary lady on Monday
I'm sending this to all the people involved in the transport on August 14 that included Carrie, the little deaf pup, and her siblings. For those of you who do not know, shortly after her arrival at the rescue in NY, Carrie was diagnosed with renal displaysia and her prognosis was not good. Kim, her foster mom in GA, and Saleena, her rescue, made the decision that Carrie should go back to Kim.
Here is an update I just received from Kim on Carrie's progress:
She is such a beautiful, sweet little girl. I pray she lives much longer than anticipated
She is, for sure, having a wonderful life while she is with Kim.
Thank you, Kim, for giving her the best life she can have and letting her enjoy every minute!
Mary

Mom had been aware of the issues as she had been following it on Saleena and her reskhues FB pages - Carrie is probably furry lukhky to still be with us fur her furst days in NYC were VERY VERY touch and go - to say the least

SO, please keep them in your thoughts
We had also gotten word earlier this month that Caroline/Coraline was adopted and is now living in Canada - what a lukhky Brittany gal she is!
SO, if evFUR woo have doubts that RESKHUES ROKHK and that woo KHAN make a difFURence, just look at these examples!
Hugz&Khysses,
Khyra
PeeEssWoo: Mom REALLY had to bite her tongue and fingers whilst helping me with this post - we had pikhs staged and some of them went POOF - and since she had already staged the ones fur Carrie, we had to go with Plan #7!*@&! and delete some stuffs and start again - grrrrrrrrrrr!

  1. That was a very nice and also sad story at the same time. My two sisters are rescued from the animal shelter here and they are very thankful. I was rescued from a pet store and my momma is pretty sure I came from a puppy mill or some other place that didn't want me due to my underbite. Who cares about the shape of our face anyway? Not me or them! When you have a chance please go look at the card my momma made. It's on my blog and will make you smile! (or maybe cry if you know a dog who left us recently.)

  7. Hey there Khyra...
These stories, like Carrie's, always make my heart skip a beat. So many animals suffer and so few of them are really looked after. It makes me want to hug my dogs even more. Thank you for all the wonderful work you do and for keeping us informed. We love you guys lots.
Sending lotsaluv to you,to your mom, Phyl, to the Doggie Nanny, to Auntie Di, to Uncle Paul and the little Math Boffin (yes, I remember!) and of course to paw-crossing Merdie. You guys are the Angels of this earth...and we are grateful!
    With lotsaluv

  9. Oh Khyra
We know how important RESCUES are.
I was rescued from a bad place too.
Thank goodness there are people who care, I was thinking about all the DIFFERENT kinds of dogs you help.... not just one breed,,, it is amazing how many differnt types of doggies ARE helped , and sometimes the right place for one of the doggies like Carrie is to be with someone who can give the most love,,, and make the little heart happy.
Thank you for all that you and your mom do

  29. My goodness Khyra! What a rocking post about rescues!!! Those are all very wonderful stories, well except for Carrie. We wish she wasn't so sick, and will be purring for her. But thank goodness for such wonderful peoples to take care of her. We shudder to think how her life, or any woofies/kitties life would be if they hadn't been rescued.

  30. Wow, that was such a good story about Carrie. We sure hope she can live longer but thank heavens she is back with Kim. We didn't realize what wonderful things you are doing to help the rescue animals. That is so terrific. We will do a post for the Pedigree deal. Wish we could find homes for all the homeless critters but every little bit sure does help.
    Have a great day.
