Thursday Thanking

Two Heroes

Mom and I decided today's post belonged to Tosca and his special human - a human that gave his life as he tried to save his partner -

Here is a link to Life With Dogs post - that is where I snagged the pikh - and here is a link to one of our lokhal news stations - which inkhludes a video - with Tosca's coffin - along with some khomments about how special Sgt Wrinkle is - and how his family has rekhwested memorial khontributions to a special group - one that assists military dogs -

It has been a rough week fur that area khlose to us - Dallastown and Red Lion are within the proverbial ball's throw of each other - Sgt Wrinkle and Tosca were the furst khasualities - and then on Saturday, Daniel Zerbe lost his life along with other special forces -

My fluffy tail is raised in salute to them - especially to Tosca The Dutch Shepherd

Hugz&Khysses,

Khyra

  7. We salute them all. They are brave and heroic beyond belief ~ and in these beleaguered times with so many people behaving without integrity or humanity, it lifts our spirits and hearts to hear of such wonderful souls. We are just sorry they couldn't stay on earth for longer. RIP. We will never forget them, ever.

  8. We saw that story about Tosca - so sad, two heroes indeed.

Here in OP we actually lost three local men in that horrible attack on the helicopter. So many lives lost, so many families devastated.

Certainly gives one pause about those who serve our country.

  11. Oh Khyra, our hearts break when humans are killled, but we especially hate it when woofies are killed. Bless this mans heart for going back in for his woofie. Our hope is that they were at least together when they perished, not still separated in all the horror.

We wonder if we will learn anything about the K-9 lost last Saturday.

  16. hey Khyra,

Beautiful tribute. Very sad. My human could not watch the video since reading the story made her eyes water. Both men were much too young, and it is a tragedy. And so very sad about Tosca, but at least he is with his dad and won't be lonely. We salute them with you.

Thank you for sharing their stories and getting it out there. These stupid wars have to end now. So many lives are being lost and destroyed for nothing.

  19. Very special heros. Thank you for sharing this story. It was sad, but it showed how strong the bond between a human and a furry can be.

  20. that story broke my heart. but at the same time i find his actions completely understandable. i know that I as well as all of you would do the same to rescue your fur-kid(s) without hesitation just as he did.

there is no love that can compare to the love we share with our fur-kid(s).
