Monday MOMday

A shot from Mom's cell - my furst morning on the road during my trek to The Tundra!
Now to turn this ovFUR to Mom so she khan paw about Sunday's passengers!
******
Quite the changeable sky and WINDY day - I think I drove as many sideways miles as I did straight ahead to Hagerstown and back!
Butch's picture from the run sheet
Sophie - you first saw her here on November 8th's post - she's a GSD/Rotti or is that Rotti/GSD?
Tugger
Tugger
Tugger
One state closer!
Sophie stepping up in Harrisburg!
I snagged this plate for Ina in Alaska - she's always capturing the good ones she sees in her travels PLUS this one was quite meaningful for one of her canines!
The river at Harrisburg was quite high - with all the rain we had earlier in the week, The Susquehanna had crested at flood stage - or just below - in our area

There aren't many pictures or videos this week - the run was actually ahead of schedule until about 20-25 minutes from Hagerstown when Ruth Ann and Marcia encountered a complete standstill around Martinsburg WV - so we made the stops in Hagerstown and Harrisburg quick ones in an attempt to keep things moving

Butch and Tugger actually got to meet their furever families in Allentown - and Sophie continued on to New Jersey

The run was done for Rotts 'n Pups which has some more of Tugger and Butch's brothers available - they were sweet little ones - and Sophie was an energetic one! Mary and Marie had been her foster in the Charlotte area - and enjoyed having her around very much. When I called Mary to update her on the transport's status, she told me how much they were missing Sophie!

As you see, Butch, Tugger, and The Boys are certainly quite the combo of canine heritage - I'm sure one of those doggie DNA kits would return LOTS of breeds!

The run was dedicated to the team of Vicky in MN and Shelly in IA that conspired and invited us on MFT's Trek to The Tundra! I guess it is actually quite appropriate the video where I mention that fact sounds like I've been dropped in the Artic somewhere!

Thanks again to the two of you for your hospitality! It truly was a once in a lifetime experience!

Here is the link to the Photobucket Slideshow - I've included pics of other pups that were to have made the trip but didn't for assorted reasons AND one pic of Spot who snagged a ride on some of Saturday's legs so she could make it to Dalmatian Rescue of SW VA - AND there are three videos from our stops in MD and PA in the album

Once again, we reminded RESCUES ROCK!!!

Don't forget to head to Blueberry's Auction and bid on a transport of your own - and whilst there, check out the other great items available!

We always feel bad for having a favourite of your mom's passengers - this week it was Tugger who tugged at our heartstrings.

  25. Khyra looks positively regal on that bed, very glamorous and one lucky girl indeed!

And my little Jeter thoroughly enjoyed "his" PA license plate! He too is a rescue (as are all 4 of my pups)... his former name was Samson, can you believe that?? He needed a better name than Samson because he associated that name with his prior life of abuse.... so, being a lifelong Yankee fan and admirer of Derek Jeter.... VOILA.... his name morphed from Samson to Jeter..

Good khatch Khyra's Mom! You skhored a good one. We love you!!! xoxo
