Monday With Three M's

Merdie, Mom, and Me!
Chilling Saturday Evening
Sunday AM prior to Mom leaving
Merdie helping Mom upload pikhs from the transport
Me helping Mom upload pikhs from the transport
Merdie helping AGAIN!
Now I'll let Mom tell about Sunday's passengers
Maya say HI all
Maya was checking out the lucky charm
Puppa was checking out the view
Heidi was checking out me
Puppa SOOOOO knew the drill - she got up once we got off the interstate - each transport I do I can't help but smile that the dogs all know the change from highway speed to something else means it is soon time to switch rides!

Puppa saying JFN

What a great transport this was to honour Buddy and Pearl! These girls got along so well! I've discovered that a Rotti weighing 85# can fit in the front seat of the Xterra - it was Maya's choice to ride shotgun - and the center console and/or driver's right forearm make for a great pillow! Puppa had a crate and prefered to be in it but shortly after we hit I81, Heidi claimed it as hers. She napped in it for the entire trip to Harrisburg. Puppa kept her eyes on it because I think she REALLY wanted to be in her crate but she was nice enough to let the wee one use it!

Here is the Photobucket link for the slideshow - AND here is the Photobucket link for the album with five videos!

I wasn't sure when I met their chauffeur in Hagerstown if all three had furever homes WELL, they do! How cool!

I had mentioned the leg would have another special significance with GA. Well, Sassy from Georgia had been the winner in Tucker's Sit Stay Competition - and she donated her winnings to cover the Xterra juice for a transport. I felt this one was quite an appropriate choice!

Thanks Sassy AND Tucker!

BTW, Sassy's mom is helping out at The Iditarod - Khyra and I are SO jealous!

Khyra and Merdie will be back tomorrow!

Glad to see another successful and happye-ending transport.

  39. Another nice transport!
Everytime when mom sees a Rottie, it makes her think of the one the she should have "stolen" when she was in college and she has been regreting not doing it.
Her neighbors(2 doors down)at the townhouse she lived in used to own a rottie pup. The townhouses have a big yard that all the tenants shared. Mom noticed that the rottie was always tied up outside and it was summer time(in Louisiana) and the pup almost always have NO water. Mom had filled up the pup's bowl many times. Clearly the owners didn't care. Then one day mom found the rottie wandering down the street so mom picked her up. The pup's owners weren't home at the time so mom kept trying to decide if she should return her to the owners. She knew it's impossible to keep the pup and still live in the same place(because they will know that mom kept her). So mom returned the pup. Then the next day those people were gone, they moved! There was no sign that they were moving. Had mom knew that they were moving, she would have kept the pup and lie that she didn't see her, to save her from those people. Sigh....
