Tuesday Telling

I ROTE along with Mom on Sunday - she wanted to make a trip to the store to fetch the ingredients fur THIS - she was lukhky enough to find some excellent pakhkages of chikhken too AND some furry nice turkey tenderloins

I bet woo KNOW what I was looking fur
Some of THEM
In fakht, one of them trotted down the driveway as Mom took this pikh
(akhtually, she had taken some of Brofur under his bush befur she got in the Xterra with me)
******
To prepare woo fur TOMORROW, here are some shots from the LAST time Merdie was here
I was outside under my tree so she started romping with my Sibe stuffie that is her furry favourite toy
Woo've seen her play with it befur
******
It is soon time to start watching fur our PEREGRINE FALCONS in Harrisburg
Here is a shot Mom khaught MonAM
The page has been updated to reflekht the fakht the 2010 Nesting Season is khommencing! We know Valentine's Day is not too far off so I'm sure he'll be khourted her again this year with some furry fine feathered tweets!
Some of you are new to my blog so we don't know about the khool times ahead as we do our best to follow what we hope will be another produkhtive year on the ledge of The Rachel Carson Building.

It khould be an interesting year fur the female will be entering her eleventh nesting season with her mate entering his sixth. The expekhted lifespan of PF's is about where she is SO paws khrossed things will go well fur her and that there won't be any drama with an younger one attempting to take ovFUR. Some years ago, one of the bird kham lists Mom was following had posts about a fight to the death drama in Cleveland. Some people on that board akhtually got to see it. One person khommented it was one of those things they didn't want to watch BUT they khouldn't NOT watch.

There is place on the PA Site to sign up fur FALCONWIRE alerts with updates as the season progresses.
******Please furgive the khwality (or lakhk thereof in these pikhs) but Mom was on the phone yapping with Summiii's Mummi Sunday afternoonAs it was getting to be the time of the day where the sun starts to set, she noticed one of the neighbourhood Red Tails put down on the top of a tree out on the golf khourse. She took these through the kitchen window whilst yapping.

She took several pikhs not knowing what would be viewable but she hoped SOMETHING would be khool enough to share.

She did walk out to get khloser to the tree- that is where the last shot khame from. But Mr/Ms RT took off and headed towards the pond befure Mom khould get any more shots.

THIS IS AN UPDATE TO THIS POST :

PLEASE VISIT OUR PAL MAX IN SOUTH AFRIKHA AND SHOW SOME LOVE AND SUPPORT...HE'S NOT DOING WELL RIGHT NOW AND HE NEEDS TO FEEL OUR LOVE FUR HIM AND HIS FURAMILY...THANK WOO FURRY MUCH!

One last thing to tell woo about this week...if woo or someone woo know are in the Dallas TX area, please chekhk out THIS reduced TUTORING programme!

Make sure woo khomebakhk tomorrow fur THAT day of the month!

Hugz&Khysses,

Khyra

PeeEssWoo: Mom says the chikhken was yummy! I agree but mine was 'prepared' difFURently - mine WEREN'T! I had my furst wing and drumstikhk au natural! YUMMY AND SO NOM NOM NOMMY!

  10. The return of the falcons is soon?? That means spring must be close, right? Mom is excited for that to happen and soon.

Glad you got to take a ride in the xterra AND that you got to taste some yummy chicken. Our Mom had that chicken last week and she really liked it a lot. Especially the buttery sugared lemony grapes.

We can't wait to Miss Merdie tomorrow, we will have to see if we can work on something for that special day too.

  12. Hi Khyra! Mom says she is not up to the ask of trying to teach you a recall :) She's having a hard enough time with me! LOL!

Our peregrine female is hanging out around the ledge and the nest box but I don't know if we told you or not, but our male was found dead one day last year. So far there has been no new male to move into the territory. We keep hoping one will show up soon!

  14. Hey Khyra!
Guess what!!!!! When I did this morning's pee 'n poop a red tail hawk flew over and perched on a branch right over my head. Ms. Alpha was betting she was hungry and went inside to bring her some leftover meat for breakfast.

Maybe she was looking for Punxatawnie Phil, that ground hog who does his spring predictions every year on this very day!

I am losing the herding competition (Mango Minster's Khontest) badly and am in last place. But I figure that last is exactly where a true herder needs to be for a round up and crowd control.

Make sure that tree of yours doesn't move!
