  1. What a neat trick burying your bone in the sofa. Although, I much prefer the one where the bone is "buried" in my mouth and conveniently finds its way into my stomach! The shawl really does look like the bird. Amazing!

  2. I'm from PA and had no idea there was a state dog. You know it all, don't you? :)

Your bone hiding is cool, Khyra, I never hide things except my favorite toy sometimes.

  9. Khyra, I always get such a kick out of your bone-hiding antics. Marge would never let it happen - all her food is immediately hidden in the depths of her tummy :)

  10. hey Khyra,

I am sorry to read of another passing, Mr. Bufus. Thanks for letting us know. Beautiful cat.

Your treat hiding always cracks me up! I also admire your patience. When a treat is in my mouth, it isn't. Because I eat it so fast it barely has time to sit in my mouth! Very funny video, by the way.

p.s. thanks for the cool info on the PA farm fair. That shawl is beautiful!

We caught up on the post we had missed. We are very sorry about the loss of your friends. We will try to go by and offer words of comfort to their families today.

  15. NC state dog is the Plott Hound - bred in the Plott Mountains very near our house. An amazing tracking dog.

Love the biscuit hiding - because that is something we never do.

  16. You are a great bone hider - Mom would never get anything done if all of us did that - we just break them in two in the middle and chomp them all down.

That shawl is beautiful. Our Mom has always wanted to learn how to spin. She knows how to knit.

  17. Hi! My name is Remington, nice to meet you! I like the game of try to find the bone I will have to have Beth play that with me!
I showed Beth your blog and she was interested in the shawl -- see she is a fiber artist and does all sorts of things like that! She even makes my fur into yarn! Funny lady.... I look forward to hearing more about your life!

  18. Now if we could get one of those bones like Shelby had, there is no way we would try to hide it, yummers!!!

Too many furries passing - time now for it to stop.

Such beautiful colors in that shawl and a very interesting story behind it.

  24. My assistant would concur with your doggy nanny... real bones shouldn't be lurking in the sofa or anywhere else in the house. She thinks Shelby's "mom" is a little cuckoo.

Hey Khyra - what's with the life-sized stuffie in that chair?? Did I miss a post about this? Are you doing experimental stuffie breeding in your spare time?

  25. You are just so good at hiding and at making sure you keep your mom's brain nice and greased with all that thinking!

We are going to the blogs that you mentioned to offer our condolences...sigh.

  26. Wooos, MFT! Nice job there burying that bone, me, I would just eat it but Scampi can appreciate it. We watched the other husky burying her in the couch too, way cute!

  27. Khyra - you're a genius to bury your bones. I haven't ever done that, or at least Mom's never seen me at it, because everything I manage to get into my maw goes down my gullet, never to be seen again. I'm amazed that you can take a biscuit in your teeth and hide it without eating it!!!! Incredible! That shawl is gorgeous BTW, and I never knew PA had a state dog. Wonder if CA has one - must look.

  56. How interesting, Khyra - I never knew that about state dogs! Thank you for sharing that!!

And my goodness - do you know - I bury my bones just like you?! Not in the sofa coz I'm not allowed on it but I roll them up under my bed or in the corner of rooms...my human thinks it's really funny too! :-)

Does your human leave your 'treasures' there for you to find again afterwards or does she take them away?
