Tuesday Telling

The weather was nice enough ovFUR this past weekend, the take-out window was able to open fur a bit of treat time!
This was Saturday's biskhuit hiding spot! The Doggy Nanny alerted Mom went I started
I akhtually wanted to put it under the rug as I've done in the past but went with this spot fur today!
Sunday went in the Furamily Room befur Mom left fur Vikhtoria and The Ten Speeds!
(BTW, Sam wrote Mom Monday morning to say they tried to get someone to take Vikhtoria along with a pup but no one would khave. Please keep your paws khrossed fur someone to realise they are great together! Mom sent the Photobukhket album link to the transport list - several of those associated with the transport wrote bakhk saying how happy they were to see it ESPECIALLY the nice hoomans that fostered her and the pups! They said they were missing them SOOOOO much)
A brief khomment about my biskhuit hiding: it is my own interakhtive game with my mom! I hide it then khome and get her to find it! I often give her a tails up as to where it MIGHT be by trotting in a certain direkhtion. Yesterday, I placed it then khame fur her. She knew it was time to look. She lumbered off to chekhk the furst floor without spotting it (it wasn't there) so I stood at the bottom of the stairs and gave a glance upwards! Up she went and found it in the upstairs hallway outside The Doggy Nanny's room. Silly Mom furgot to grab the flashie beastie when I started the game and when she went bakhk to get it, I went and brought it down. Woo snooze, woo lose!

Now fur some more telling
Merdie's Sunday ( I think she's missing me)
Merdie's Monday ( I think she's missing me even more)
BUT, she'll be here later TUE-day!
Mom snapped this on Sunday fur my pal Shawnee - she shared a similar pikh on her blog last week - along with the exit fur where Mom does her Harrisburg to Hamburg exchanges!
Woo should chekhk out her blog! She's khwite the hiker! PLUS, she and her hoomans are furry furry supportive of RESKHUE!!!
I want to tell some stuff today:

Please checkhk out my furiend PHOENIX - one khan nevFUR have too many SIBERIAN HUSKY PALS!!!

I suggest woo get your hoomans to add THIS FEED TO YOUR GOOGLIE READERIE THINGIE - I've been sharing some of them with woo fur they make me think of woo and your 'siblings' sometimes!

Chekhk out Toby too! He's a guide dog in training! He's going to pawticipate in a fundraising hike next year!

After woo stop by and see Toby, please head west to KholWOOrado and meet RUBY

They are furry special khanines with some furry special hoomans!

Our last telling fur Tuesday is a place with khwite the assortment of special khats/khanines/hooman - there have been some furry touching and inkhredible stories and links shared there!

I guess that will do it fur this furst day of December!

Oh wait, I hope those of woo with hoomans that watched A DOG NAMED CHRISTMAS got lots of extra snuggles following it! It was a furry furry touching story! I even saw a few of my kind in the shelter where the dog named Christmas had been brought to!

Mom khried during it - of khourse, that was after she had stopped leaking after seeing Domi's and Charlie's blogs. It was khwite the emotional day here but I did my furry best!

Princess Eva and Brice The Handsome's Momma wanted my mom to thank all of woo fur your kind words about the Aussie that khrossed prior to finding furever happiness on this side of The Rainbow Bridge!

Tomorrow is the furst Wednesday of the month so rest up boys!

Hugz&Khysses,

Khyra

  1. hey Khyra,

Merdie looks so forlorn without you! Of course she misses you!

Your treat hiding game sounds like so much fun! You are so clever! And everytime I see a photo of you hiding a treat I laugh! So cute!

  2. Well, now you know why I don't watch movies with dogs in them!

I just have to laugh at the cookie hiding. I can't imagine a cookie being around long enough for Jack to hide it!

    Re: Missing socks
Actually, we had snow on the mountains last night AND I had to wear my heavy coat when we go out for walks. I think people would be pretty amazed at how cold it gets here sometime!

  6. Poor Merdie!

Your hidey spot was good, obvious but very crafty at the same time.

  7. IS there a reason why you hide biscuits? Is it to save them for later? Our doggie brofur is a labrador and he doesn't think to hide biscuits, in fact he doesn't think at all sometimes. His biscuits don't even touch the sides on the way down!

  8. I bet Merdie can't wait to see you! You are going to have so much fun together.:) We will definitely keep our paws crossed for Victoria and one of her babies to find a furever home together. I love your hiding game.:)

  15. We know you and Merdie miss each other - you are so good together.

We only hide our treats in one place - our tummy - and Mom only sees it when it goes in our big mouths!!

We watched A Dog Named Christmas on Sunday and Mom started leaking a little too. We're so fortunate to have such tenderhearted Moms.

  16. We are always amused by your biscuit game. We never seem to be able to resist devouring ours long enough for a game of hide n seek. Nice job there, MFT.

We know Phoenix but will pay a visit to your other new furiends. Always nice to meet nice new pals.

    Welcome back, Miss Merdie.

  18. I saw A Dog Named Christmas too! Christmas looked so much like our yellow lab who died in May that I cried even at the non-emotional parts. I just cried and cried. A great movie...

I think that Merdie does need a visit with you Khyra - but that's happening today! Have fun...

  19. Thanks so much for the shout out and helping to raise awareness for service dog organizations.

I love the biscuit game; these little things they invent and include us in always make me laugh and tear up at the same time! :)

  20. How clever of you to have trained your mom to play the treat-hiding game!! Clearly you are so much more than a pretty face -- or tail!!!

  21. Oh so much, Khyra!! I didn't know the origin of the bone hiding either, so glad you filled us in! And we will visit some of those blogs you recommended too - love the Merdie pix as well as those of your royal Khyra-ness of COURSE!!! Everyone adores you, you smart, sweet, bootiful girl. Let's pray Victoria gets that home. And we DID see "A Dog Named Christmas." Wasn't that a tear-jerker and wonderful, all rolled up into one???

  25. That's a really khool game you play. Mom plays hide and seek with my toys but I am the seeker. I like your game better 'cuz I love biscuits and I could hide 'em where she'd never find 'em if you get my drift.
    Wink, wink!

    You are one khlever dog!

  28. Merdie does look kinda lonely.
I like your biscuit-hiding game. Mom knew a Sibe that played hide and seek with his biscuits, too. Except his mom would hide them and he'd have to snooter around to find them. hehe

  49. Miss Khyra! We are falling behind due to momma being in some dumb training class. Oh yeah, and she had to leave before sunup yesterday to take me to the salon for my day of beauty. I asked for a FT finish, but they said there was only so much they could work with. Sigh.

    Didn't you love Norwood's post?

  50. Biscuit hiding.... wha??? We are not familiar with that game unless crunched up and swallowed counts as hiding! What happens when your mom finds it? SOunds like a fun game. Would love to see it in action. I dogsat a buiscuit hider but he was (unbeknownst to him) playing with moose who would find them dig them up and eat them! DOn't think that is how he meant it to end!
