I'm sure your mom feels safer knowing that you are protecting her from the evil squirrels.
ReplyDeletePrincess Eva
I actually caught one a few months ago on a walk! Mom turned around for a minute, and when she looked back, there was a skhwirrel hanging out of my mouth. She made me drop it. Moms are evil.
ReplyDeleteI saw your blog still has the light on, I drop by to say hi. You were busy patrolling today, go to bed, sweet Khyra. Me too, yawnnnn!
ReplyDeleteDid you managed to get the evil squirrels? Perhaps by learning how to climb up the tree will help a big deal in getting that evil squirrel.
ReplyDeleteLuv
Snowball
Looks like you did a fine job!

Khyra, I have a special hatred of squirrels, because once, a long time ago, one bit me on the nose!
ReplyDeleteMy poor black nose was all red and bleeding.
So I have sworn revenge to Squirrels.......you are doing a good job on my behalf.
Paw Placement is very important, almost as much as Nose Placement, in other words, keep your nose away from the horrid nippy critters!

If I ever seen an evil squirrel I am calling right away.
ReplyDeleteHuffle Mawson
That sure is hard work. Do you ever get to sleep? I hope the statue helps.
ReplyDeleteSlobbers,
Mango
I think I need to work on my paw placement...
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday!
Tommy
Hmmm paw placement, must think about that one.
ReplyDeleteI am still pouting, because Mom is getting ready to leave for the day. I am stuck her with the annoying little brother. I want to go to the dog show too!
Kira The BeaWootiful
Pee ESS -Thank Woo for the new name!
Sentry duty is so important. Rusty is our paw placement expert - always with the front paws crossed.
ReplyDeleteYou are good at that. My sissy would like to be on your patrol but she doesn't sit still.
ReplyDeleteThey think Nezzy might be a shepherd/husky mix! Do you want him? He's nice but he screams like Oscar and is very afraid!

Hi Khyra,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the wonderful tutorial. I need to secure this place from squirrels. It's tough when there's a mole on your team - M for Mole...M for Mercury...she loves squirrels - sheesh! I guess it's because she looks like one!
But thanks for the tutorial - I am going to try the paw-crossing technique.
Licks n wags,
Oorvi
Arf...great way to spend a beautiful Saturday, I'm sure your mom feels safer knowing you are doing your best to protect her.
ReplyDeletegussie
Hi, Khyra...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tips...
I do think I need to work on my Paw Placement skills...Mine are not as refined as yours...
Abby xxxooo
I think that squirrels would taste better than me.
ReplyDeleteJust sayin'...
Kira let us in too so we are guarding the eastern sector of Kansas. But Mom keeps saying we haven't seen a squirrel since last November. Guess we must be doing a good job!
ReplyDeleteGreat lesson on how to do sentry work!
Tail wags, the OP Pack
What a lady you are!! Paws are so delicately crossed!
ReplyDeleteParis makes sure we don't have squirrels in the backyard. I help. A little.
Hi Khyra,
ReplyDeleteYou should come over my house to hunt - there are lots of squirrels in my yard. We have chipmunks too! We could have an animal hunt!!
You must have the most secure yard in the neighborhood with you on patrol...

ReplyDeleteDear Khyra, Maybe this is what we're not doing right, becuz let us tell you, every day we run out in the back yard to get the skwirls and every day they run up the trees and just point at us and laff histericly and even throw nuts at us sometimes. Outstanding work on the secured area. Two Paws Up! Love, your PaLs, LuLu and LoLLy! http://www.luluandlolly.com
ReplyDeleteHere is what you gotta do if you want to catch one of the little beggars. Have your Mom buy some peanuts in the shell, then make a straight line of them, about 5 feet or so. Then you lay, at the end of the 5' and when they start munching up the nuts, they will get careless and not notice you laying in wait for them. Whomp! You got a squirrel to shake up! Do it over again! Easy peasy!
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Stella the Squirrely Girly
Hi, Khyra!

ReplyDeleteMya Boo Boo
**bows to Khyra**
Good work, Khyra! There were no squirrels in your sector that we could see.
ReplyDeletelove & wags,

You are quite the sector securer Khyra! Those squirrels don't stand a chance with you on the job! :)
ReplyDeleteNala

Laciegirl
You are such a good watchdog, Khyra!
ReplyDeleteOk, I got the paw placement down, but we don't have any squirrels! Do you think it works on geckos?
ReplyDeleteMochi
There's a squirrel that lives in a tree near my apartment. The only time I see it is when s/he's fighting off crows. Tuff little city squirrel.
ReplyDeletePS. Tell your mom Madison said the caramel pecan fudge was too sweet but the peanut butter cups were divine.
Can we rent you to take care of the rabbits in our backyard?
ReplyDeleteTinkerbell, Oscar and Tucker
I'm glad you kept your yard secure. However, I think you should pretend not to be paying attention so when a squirrel comes near, you can get it.
ReplyDeleteXOXO,
Steve
