As I pawed yesterday, I finally had told Mom we needed to share the furry tasty stuffs we got thanks to these two khute golden GiRls - from Master Chew Sits - when I was the furry lukhky winnah of The Family Dog Bakery treats!!!

Take a look at the beaWOOtiful paKhKaging - the nice lady we had pawed sent some BLING fur ME!!!

She was nice enough to send stuffs fur Merdie and Harley - unfurtunately, no pikhs of them khonsuming theirs - just didn't snag any but they loved 'em too!!!

Mom and I were furry impressed with the PAWSonable service during the process of figuring out what we wanted in our assortment - we had to pikhk stuffs from THEIR ETSY WEBSITE - since evFURRYthing is freshly made - with no preservatives - they only bake on certain days so they khan be shipped in a timely fashion - ours was to be delivered on a Saturday BUT bekhause we are SO furry khlose to the FedEx hub in this area, we got them on FrEYEday!!!

We knew they would be EXTRA tasty when we saw they khame from NORWOOD STREET -

Thanks furry much to Maggie and Miley - and the pawesometalented humans at The Family Dog Bakery!

The next two stops were Tar-Jay and BJ's - Mom stashed all the stuffs on the front passenger seat and floorboard - but there were a few things on the side where I usually sit so I decided this would work fur me!

Up khlose and pawsonal - and out of fokhus!

Mom and I looked to see if my khattledog pals were in their other grazeland - and yes, YELLOW fur MURRAY - and yes, there are deer ahead - if it had been a few hours later, we khould have seen them gathering in their pakhk!

I was watching fur my khattledog and pups but they weren't out - we did see they were gathered around their khlubhouse - I mean barn!

My furst telling fur today - are woo ready? Mom was a lazy human on Monday - something about taking a nap - which meant a mostly flashie beastie free day - this was from the khrakhkahberry on our furst walk BUT it REALLY meant we didn't get to visit the 878,787, 878, 787 posts in The Googlie Readerie Thingie - I had a talk with her - of khourse, only time will tell if she heard my message!
Here is the pikh Mom said I khould share today - Alisa and her FURever Peoples! Her mom pawed the transport list and thanked evFURRYone fur getting her to them - I'm furry jealous as she has a KHAT - named Sweet Pea - deskhribed as a CHUBBY one!

And to share the dedikhation fur Sunday's Hagerstown to Harrisburg leg - furst of all, Granite State Dog Recovery - an INKHREDIBLE group - please chekhk them out HERE - and then HERE!!!

We also dedikhated it to Daunte - he's the one laying in the snow - that's his brother Koda with him - Daunte khrossed Saturday evening - another one beaten by the evil c - his was in his lungs and abdomen - his furst hu-mom is SummV's Mummi - he was born in their bedroom - and went to live with a nice lady named Liz - I almost got to meet them when we were in Des Moines - but it was kind of late on Sunday night so we didn't -

Mom wore the Iowa HAWKeye hoodie Summiiii sent my mom last year fur the transport - and saw SOOOO many hawks along the way - she didn't khount but had she done so, she thinks it might have been two of those dozen things!

Just as Mom khrossed into Merryland, the station she was listening to played THIS SONG - and Mom said she khried AND sang along - this song was still playing as she sat at the light near McD's to wait fur Passengers 4 and 5 for 2012 - and now Daunte's as free as a bird now - and this bird khan not change - just like we Siberians khan't not be what we are!

The light by what I call Whitney's B&B - also known as The York County SPCA -where Khyra was incarcerated prior to coming into my life

Yes, the sky was THIS blue!

The first YELLOW for MURRAY I could snag on my side of the highway - actually, this was in Maryland as I listened to Free Bird - actually listened again as I put this post together -

It was just wrapping up as I waited at the light for McD's - and saw the second YELLOW for MURRAY - a very fitting one in fact!

Lucille thought I should be shotgun today but I convinced she'd appreciate the chance to rest up for meeting her family

She agreed that was a good idea!

Alisa was happy in her crate - and snoozed almost the entire way from Hagerstown to Harrisburg

Lucille's colouring was incredible

She was stunning - and I told her over and over how beautiful she was - and although RuthAnn and Marcia mentioned how she picked a fine time to leave them, I preferred to think of THIS LUCILLE - and THAT is what I'm listening to for this part of the post production!

She promptly found many ways to get comfy -

Sadly, there aren't many pictures of Alisa in what I took - since it was 28 of our F degrees - with a windchill of upper teens, she didn't spend much time out in the elements - but you'll see plenty of them in the Photobucket from her Saturday travels - including her with her namesake Alisa The Human Driver - you will see a video of her playing with her toys and showing off her puppy cuteness - I did get a picture of her with her family that I'll let Khyra share on Tuesday's post

When Mom and I went on our sekhond walk - after our ROTE time - we saw my furiends in the field - we had akhtually done our Walkin' Wednesday video on Monday afternoon since we weren't sure of the weather fur Tuesday - THAT link is HERE - we were trying to khonvince THAT herd to join us fur the Idita-walk

Imagine our surprise when we walked by on Tuesday - we saw a new pup in their pakhk - still wet - and wobbly - so we walked khloser - and noticed it was what we thought!!!

It was just hatched!!! Mom was khleaning himher - and Mom was still - ummm, expelling the stewing juice -

Mom shot a video - it isn't the best khwality wise since it was zooooomed in as khlosely as she khould - it also points out how dirty the internal lens is BUT I think woo will still enjoy it - so khlikhk HERE fur the bonus video!

We are glad so many enjoyed the tasty butter skhulpture - it is one of the most eagerly anticipated events at The Farm Show - 1000 pounds of tasty REAL butter which will be khonverted to biofuel when the show khonkhludes!

I realised I neglekhted to mention that yesterday was Mom's furst workaversary! Khongrats Mom! Now woo will get vakhation and sikhk time - although woo did get eight hours a few months ago fur purrrrrrfekht attendance - I'm glad I pakhk woo off each day!

Sheila is such a love..and such a good girl. We are so happy she was able to join our family!! I can't thank you all enough for everything. She definitely had no issue eating last night and this morning which is great! I will post a few more pics as I get them. I try to take her picture with one of the kids and she ends up at my feet on her back faster than I can push the button. (she definitely is a bit of an attention hog) hehe We love her!!

The weather so has the Canada Goosers confused - there must have been fifty plus of them at the pond and on the green

To head South to Hagerstown - the first of this week's YELLOW for MURRAY - actually, this one is just before where our pal Chester sends his mom off to work each day!

Say HI to Sheila everyone - of course, THIS EARWORM was in my head all weekend - and in particular on the leg to Harrisburg - after all, she's SO ready FUR the world!

She was taking in all her trip from GA to PA had to offer - quite the experience for a stray in NC who was saved by The Nice Mary Lady in Charlotte AND The Nice Irina Lady in Atlanta!

Of course, I had hoped she'd ride shotgun but she promptly claimed this spot in the back as hers - she did get up once enroute to Harrisburg but went right back to THERE

Mission Accomplished!

With proof from Allentown as Sheila meets her dad Nick! Her mom Christy was in Tennessee but couldn't fly home quickly enough to meet her girl! She had been following the emails on Saturday and Sunday - getting more excited with each one - when she got the pics from Sheila's overnight hosts, she thanked them for doing it - I then wrote her and said just think, you'll get to do her Sunday and her Monday and her Tuesday and her Wednesday - etc! From there, we exchanged a nice string of messages - I had noticed her email address included something that looked like a date - I asked if that was her birthday - she said it was - I had to smile because it is also the birthday of a very special friend of mine -

I sent pics from the road to her - and then the Photobucket when I had it completed - she shared with the group that she had some Facetime with Sheila and Nick - she had been slopping around in her water bowl and sniffing her new HOME!

From our emails, I had learned this is not their first Rotti - Abby had gotten them hooked on the breed - sadly, she crossed from the evil bone cancer about two years ago - I shared our special CA friends' blog with her - and shared Sheila's pics with Ruby and Bart's mom - they both appreciated the beauty and handsome Rottis!

Dear LaMancha, Philly Girl (renamed Cocoa by our daughters) is doing very well! She treats all of our other animals, from the horses to the cats to our older dog Holly, with friendly but gentle interest. She is sweet with the kids and affectionate to all. Cocoa has slept every night on the bed, the whole night through. Yesterday she made her first car trip out and about to get fitted for a blanket against the cold weather and her own new collar. She did so well meeting new people and going new places. She seems to be house trained. We all think she is a very good match for our family!

Thank you for taking the time to let us meet and "interview" at LaMancha- Cocoa is a treasure!

I had to laugh when I saw the return shot from this stretch

Meet Marley

He had to be coaxed out - was comfy and a bit scared - but I just dragged his front paws and played a game of drag and pet - until he was out

Here's Jack - immediately checking out The Xterra - he was ALL energy - despite being eight or so years old

Although I had put Marley in the front seat, he took himself to the back

Notice Jack in the back corner - I think he was 87 places in under 8.7 seconds

In a flash, back as shotgun as we waited for the light to exit the shopping center

Marley wanted to be part of it but just wasn't quite sure

So Jack was shotgun

Trust me, it says WELCOME TO PAWSYLVANIA - bring your paws, we've got mud!

By now, Marley had inched to the point where he was using the center console for his headrest - I kept encouraging him to just do it!

Meanwhile, Jack - was - well Jack!

This fella did NOT nap - he rested but so did not nap!

Then just short of Shippensburg, Marley made his move!

Which didn't bother Jack in the least for he could be here

and there in 0.87 seconds

I think Marley really enjoyed me reaching back to pet him SO he decided to be brave and venture to nap shotgun - I rewarded him with LOTS of strokes - and yes, pics you can see more of in the Photobucket

Like most of my passengers, they KNOW the change in highway speed means vehicle change - so Marley sat up whilst we waited at the light

But the rains and the break in the sky gave me this photo opp as I pulled in the driveway - I was actually on the phone with Khousin Ab's mom when I spotted it!

So this week's Mission Accomplished shot has a special extra layer of meaning - as those we know and love now living across The Rainbow Bridge sent their HAPPY NEW message!!!

It was a full rainbow but I couldn't get a shot of the other end but I did see it - there are a few more pics in the PB of the rainbow - it was the perfect ending to a great transport for two very special canines!

We did the transport for Sally - and her canopeners - in France - as our part of the Secret Santa exchange - there was an uneven amount of blog pals that wanted to participate so she asked we do a transport for our European friends and fans - which we thought was just perfect!

She'll be doing the Hagerstown to Harrisburg leg fur Greenmore Farm - which is a new group being mentored by the LaMancha group she drove fur a month or so ago - both of them are lokhated in Chester County - which is two khounties East of our York County - and the khounty Mom lived in prior to moving here - ummmmm - 1972

Mom and I hope all have a great 2012 - I made a resolution fur her - and akhted on it at 11:59 Saturday night - I akhkhidently hit THAT button - so we khould start fresh - it was at 776 just before I did it - YIKES!

The Bleu will now have special times on Thursday - they snagged some of his bloods and said it was ready to rumble so the evil thing would tumble

PLEASE KEEP ALL OF THEM IN YOUR THOUGHTS - HOUSTON WILL NO DOUBT BE SHAKING WITH ALL OF THE PAWESOME LOVE BEING SENT THERE - IT WILL BOUNCE OFF THE HPP AND BAKHK TO THE BLEU AND BAKHK TO THE HPP - my mom's head is spinning with the amount of ENERGY that has to be!!!

What a smile!

A memory of times gone by - and how Shelly and her mom spent quite a few Saturday nights in Glenwood IA - watching Lawrence Welk together - including their last Saturday night together - which happened last weekend

After a battle of several years with the nasty Big A, a stroke finally took her - although she fought it

Over the past week or so , anytime I got a text or call from Shelly, I answered with trepidation - and Shelly would answer she's still here - despite what the awesome hospice staff expected - at one point, I said she's waiting for Winter -

So Wednesday morning, the text came - she chose today - so when our candle was lit Wednesday evening, it was for Summi's Mummi's Mummi's journey as well

How fitting that Thursday - December 22 - was Shelly's parents' 65th Wedding Anniversary - and they got to spend it together -

I will be wearing blue today - along with most of the residents of Glenwood as they celebrate a special member of their community - as it was Bonnie's favourite colour

I just melted when he looked at me like this - he was a wise soul in an extraordinary canine package!

How fitting it is that Mayzie was actually the one to send that magnet for The Xterra - given the great work her mom is doing with handling the ChipIn for Sandra and her family!

I am still numb - there are moments when I do feel - like during the babbling dedication I attempted to do in Harrisburg - but it still seems so surreal - yet sadly, we know it is true

I almost lost it when I got The Pittie Pack's 2010 card to take along - when I read the words on it - well, who would have ever ever ever thought THIS would happen in 2011?

The support from around the world continues - and with it, the chance the numbness will subside - each time I look at the ChipIn update, well, I am just blown away!

Sandra and I chatted via FB Saturday night - she still thinks she could have done more - I tried to reassure her she did all she could without perishing with them - after all, her human puppy needs her - especially since the fire had started in what was his bedroom - yet due to ear infections right now, he's not been sleeping well so he was in their bedroom - THAT sent more chills through me - and YES, I felt them

George made it around 5:30pm - he crawled into his dad's lap, took a look around, got a drink of water, and well, you know the rest - HE WAS HOME!

Once again, RESCUES ROCK - something I neglected to say during the videos - that should give you an indication of how tough this has been

Saturday Sharing - The Beyond Sad Version

Where to start - I've thought about this post since I first got the news -

The first email came from Cyndi and Stumpy - then Christine of Sam and Monty fame wrote - THEN I checked the FB post that shared the tragic events -

To say I went numb would be an understatement - I kept reading the words - and hoping I was reading them wrong -

And all I could see was Shelby - I know all but two of her siblings were lost too - but I couldn't get Shelby out of my head - after all she had endured before her Houston Angels found her - to have it all end like this -

It is so wrong on SO many levels - the kind of levels that have me shaking my head in a way I'm not sure I've ever done so -

I felt so helpless since I was at work - but thank dog for the crackberry - I was able to stay in touch -and share - and grieve - and questione - and try to help - it also saved me from crying - much -

But still I couldn't stop seeing Shelby -

I know the emails exchanged with so many of YOU all shared the common thread of not being able to imagine something so devastating happening -

Yet it happened to US - for WE are the US that is Blog World -

I couldn't wait to get home - and hug Khyra - and take her for a walk - and cry - and try to wrap my head around this - and cry - and get ready for a post - yet not sure what I would say - could say -

I'll admit I am too numb for the tears at this point - which is just before 8pm Friday night - but the few that did come - fittingly enough as we passed the cherry trees - for as Tommy's #1 has shared the cherry trees - and their blossoms - are actually emblematic of LIFE -

Well, as we came along that stretch of the walk, I couldn't help but think THIS should have happened to V*** - he should have had his entire life go up in flames - and NOT wonderful pups and peoples that just didn't deserve this fate -

I've babbled enough - so time to wrap this up -

I know so many of you have already blogged about this - but we wanted to share it as well - so we could help - financially - emotionally - for it could have been any one of us - but somehow Fate chose THE PIBBLE PACK in Houston

Our candle is lit as I write this - and post when I have it done - I know Shelby has a special place tonight across The Rainbow Bridge where all the Pibbles play - and share their sugars -

I have put the Chip In on our sidebar - and as I did it tonight I was just blown away by what I saw - a big thanks to Mayzie's Mom and Puddles's Mom for getting it going -

But then again, why not - WE are US - even if in most cases we'll never get to meet in the flesh and fur -

We care - and we know we are there for each other -

But somehow I doubt we ever thought it would be like THIS -

Time to see if this helped free some of the tears - some have made their way out - time for more -

Please hug your pups and KHATS - and have them return the favour -

During this walk, we enkhountered Sadie the furry beaWOOtiful yellow Lab - her mom was telling my mom that Sadie had just seen the khattle - and wasn't sure what to think of them - I HERD Mom telling Sadie's mom how I had done my best to impress them earlier when we were on our furst walk!

Mom and I decided since time is of a premium during this time of the year, we'd NOT do a video this week - maybe I'll have her share one next week!

Well, it is time to send her bakhk to The GKP today - so now I start the khountdown to KHOME ON 6pm Saturday!

It was a great December day

Donna Kay - now known as Belle shared her khute Rotti bum!

And her nose too!

They had warned us she was a chewer - anything and everything was her toy - so I brought along an empty bone for her - she enjoyed it - I sent it along with her -

Who could resist that face - I even managed to snag Kenny in the shot - poor Kenny escaped the flashie beast most of the day - although I usually position the crates so I can see the pups, I needed to be able to keep Belle in my sights - just in case -

One state closer to home for both of them!

Belle decided she wanted to be shotgun - and oh what an amusing shotgun she was

She started out like this but

Before long she started to sprawl out - much of the time until we reached Harrisburg found part of her on the seat and part of her off the front edge of the seat!

Blurry but cute nonetheless!

You can only imagine how much of her is on and how much of her is off the seat - which she did not mind at all! Even when she woke up - and resettled herself, she pretty much chose the same position!

I felt like I was driving a great big cuddli Rotti bear - and I WAS!

I've heard of this state - and so have the special people associated with this week's dedication -

The sky as we crossed the river - I thought it showed lots of angels in the sky watching us!

Just before we got out for her first steps on PAWSylvania soil!

Kenny and his next driver Peggy - he was such a cutie - Peggy said she SO wanted to keep him!

Belle wanted to go play with him - she LOVED that - and he did too but he was a wee bit taken by her size!

One of those moments I wish a camera could be doing videos as it took pics - they were giving each other kisses!

See? What a tender moment!

Followed by Belle's LET'S GO KENNY!!!

Look at THAT face?!? He was sooo the Border Collie mix - he did the typical BC lay down and watch things - never taking his eyes off what he was supposed to watch!

Yes, YELLOW for MURRAY time! I didn't have many chances on MY side of the road - I saw lots heading South as I went North - but this was as I headed back towards Harrisburg after Peggy took Kenny and Belle to Allentown to meet their next driver -

We got this pic Sunday night from her new home - the person who took her to them said she greeted everyone with kisses, got a big drink, went out for a pee, then came in and decided the bed on the floor with the toys and the chew MUST be hers - and she settled in!!!

What a great transport for Rotts 'n Pups Rescue - and thanks to Angel Gage for keeping us safe - and for allowing me to do a special dedication for a Khyra's Transport Auction Prize Winner!!!

I always read your blog and love hearing about Khyra and her khampmates. That is how I found out about the auction. Thank you for that. It was fun! So glad i won your item since it will be a Christmas gift for my mom. She never wants anything & is so hard to buy for. This is perfect since she loves animals, dogs especially since I have a mini schnoodle Tara. She was 2 when we finally came together. Would like it to be a run that you are on so that I can print out the pics to show my mom. I can put a scrapbook together for her with some of your blogs before I highlight the run that is sponsored in her name, Virginia Schoen

How cool was that!?! When JD and Max's FH wrote me about Denise being the winner, we exchanged some messages - I shared what my middle name is - DENISE - and she shared she has a special Aunt PHYLLIS -

***IN HONOR OF GALLANT GAGE ***
Gage was a handsome, gallant Rottie – saved by Irina from a Georgia shelter. He lived with her, other RNPR rotties and puppies, and was a great, happy boy, waiting to find his forever home. It is with a very sad heart I share with you that, only -a short while ago, Gage was diagnosed with extremely aggressive bone cancer. Gage lost his fight with this evil “C” monster two weeks ago, comforted by the warmth and love of Irina’s arms, as he journeyed to the Rainbow Bridge. He is now free of the disease, running and playing at the bridge, in sunshine and some snow he loved so much. RIP, sweet, sweet Gage. Be with us and watch over us as these three (now two) passengers make their own journey to the beginnings of new lives.

We wonder if Gage has met Gizmo??? BTW, please head ovFUR to help Gizmo's brother celebrate HIS BARTDAYBARKDAY!!!!!!!

Good Afternoon!!
I have just heard from Janet, our last driver, and Thea and Veta are safely at LaMancha! They have been placed in a kennel together, and are being settled in for the night.
Today was a HUGE day for them, as this is the first "real" car adventure, except for short trips around my town, that they have ever had. THANK YOU, from them, and from me, for the kindness and compassion you showered on them today to help them on their journey. I know you join me in looking forward to their "happy day" story, and I will keep you posted!
Thank you Dru and the staff of LaMancha for saving them and for seeing that these two pretty ladies have great potential. Thank you also for helping them to find good, solid forever homes where they will be loved and valued companions.

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for bringing Veta and Thea safely to me. They were both very calm and relaxed when they arrived in Lancaster and during the transport to LaMancha.
There was so much happening when we unloaded Thea and Veta at LaMancha that I didn't get a chance to take photos. Sorry! Dru and I took them on leash to a run that she had cleared out so the two of them could be together. It was clear they have bonded and Thea growled when we went to let her out of the cage when Veta was first led away alone. So we brought her back and opened the crate so we could lead them to the kennel together. Veta went right out the doggie door into the run but Thea wasn't sure of that swinging door at first! She soon followed Veta outside.
Thanks for helping to give these girls a chance for a good home and thank you, Anita, for the chance to be involved!
