Monday MOMday

Furst, a Merdie MO-Ment
Saturday night at khamp

Figuring out which bunk was his - akhtually, none of us slept on the bed this time

Now fur this furry full post - I'll do my part THEN turn it ovFUR to Mom fur hers!

Pondering what to post fur

Sarge's furry khool Peeps On Parade

Mom at one year old - she was born August 26, 1959 just outside the Philadelphia city limits in Darby at THIS people hospital place

She is the oldest of four - with all four being born on Wednesday - and progressively later in the day - and alternating sexes -

I guess she had so many pikhs taken as a human puppy that she doesn't pawmit many of 'em now!

Her Senior pikh - akhtually taken on her 17th birthday - since they were usually taken in the summer prior to the final year of high skhhool - she was the Editor-in-Chief of The Prowler whilst there - that was the newspaper

#21 AND with brown fur!

This was taken during our Khyra's Trek to The Tundra tour last November - that's Holly and Khady Lynn's mom on the left and Summiiii's Mummi on the right - Khady Lynn's ear is just behind my mom

I'm not sure what else to share about her - once upon a time, Mom thought about being a human vet but realised she didn't have all the smarts fur that - as well as the green paper$ fur khollege - she thought about bekhoming a Physician's Assistant - but started working shortly after turning nineteen and well - you know the rest -

She's only owned manual transmission vehikhles - The Xterra is number eight - her furst khanine was a Dachshund - but she grew up always wanting to have a buff kholoured Cocker Spaniel she would khall Chamois - well, again I paw - you know the rest - I'm glad I was her 47th birthday present to herself!

I khould go on and on but I might lose my blogging rights if I share too much more!

SO, I'll turn it ovFUR to her
Thanks Khyra! I appreciate your not sharing ALL the good stuff -

First of all, I wanted to share the awesome pic sent to this week's transporters by two of our special passengers' Foster Mom Kathy!

So, where to start? Let's just say it was a great day - with some wonderful passengers and memories!Since it is Memorial Day Weekend, we dedicated the transport to The K9 Angels who gave their lives for us

Please check out the post on Khyra's Poodle Pal that lives with the OTHER Jan - Misty has shared a pawesome video shared with her -

Along with Angel GRacie

And now Angel Butchy

The usual start

*

Off to Harrisburg to catch I81 to Hagerstown

Woofie-1

This one got on I81 from the rest stop near Newville - on our local news broadcasts after Thursday night's storms, they indicated that the two rest stops around Newville had experienced some tree damage - that was certainly the case - it appeared almost every 4th or 5th tree had damage - with many snapped near their bases - I had met Edith at the McD's across from The Waffle House - and not the usual one -I snagged this to share with Mack - next time I'll be ready to get a better shot for him - I always have to sit at this light before getting back to the ramp for I81 North

Meet Max - he was saved shortly before THAT from a shelter in Savannah

Pawsylvania Welcomed Them as it has welcomed the others!

And Jada The Feist

was dumped at a WallyWorld

He was one of the sweetest dogs I've transported - and I read he did try to drive during the last leg to Oakland NJ!

Jada loved the cool air blowing over her

She also loved her Max pillow - they shared the front seat since the back of The Xterra was PACKED with the four crates - I should have taken a pic of THAT but I didn't!

Look at THOSE eyes - his foster mom made this her FB profile pic after I sent it to her - she had him for six months - and cried quite a few tears when she sent him and Jada off on Saturday BUT they are both HOME furever now -

More pillow time

Another one feeling the Khanine Zen of The Xterra

She had quite the smile

And the ears!

Some of the puppies

Jessie - she had been found wandering on the side of the road in NC - and covered in ticks - now she's ready for a REAL life!

Mr Peeps enjoying a nice sunpuddle

Jada prancing for joy at the thought of meeting her new dad

Another week and another shot of Harrisburg - I did want to hop off at 2nd Street and swing by The PF Palace but it was 90+F - and 32C - so I decided even Chick-zilla wouldn't be TOO active

Back towards York

Mission Accomplished!

Sorry for the length of the post - but since Khyra wanted to participate in Sarge's Peeps on Parade, we hope you'll FURgive us!

This was a great trip - Max and Jada so made it even more special - their foster mom Kathy and I exchanged multiple messages throughout the day - she shared with the transport group that she's lived in GA for 7 1/2 years now - she is originally from Chicago and lived in NY for three years - she's never seen conditions like they are in The South - since I can't paste in her message NOW, I'll share it later in the week

I did see on her FB page - where she had shared some of the pics I sent her on Sunday - that Max's new dad was breaking him in right and had taken him to a BBQ - I'm sure Max slept well his first night in HIS furever home!

I learned that Kathy's adoption contract includes PICS from their new lives - she's promised to share them with us - I told her how many of you like to see them later since you've seen them 'now'

The Photobucket Album has the usual assorted pictures and videos AND the slideshow has well - THE pictures!

Thanks again for the support and for sharing that

RESCUES ROCK!!!

Khyra, thanks for sharing a little bit about your mom. You KNOW how special we think she is!

I would have paid a pretty good size ransom if you had dropped Max off in dirtville, and I would have taken Jada as a bonus!

Happy tails!

Well, thanks for sharing what you could. Your mom is swell and like a total doggie hero for sure what with all those transports. Look how happy they are to be around her. You are a good dog to share her with the orphans.

Glad to see that Khamp Khyra is open for the holiday and packed with lots of fun and entertainment.

Great post on your peep - she let you use some great pics from the first to the last. Of course, we all know how wonderful your Mom is, and that is validated even more with each week's transport. That Xterra exudes khanine zen.

Have a great day at khamp.

What a lovely post, it's never too long when we're reading about your travels and the lovely pupsters you're transporting. Our human Peep shares the same birth year as your Mom, she said well it is a VERY good vintage that year :-) Dex & Lou x

Beautiful post...your mom is a very special woman and it shows in every photo! And her rescue angel work is just the tip of the positive change she makes...those travellers will never forget all who helped them get to their second chance (I know because Nuka and YoYoMa remember their angels every night when they say their prayers).
